A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

The Malnosso...? [o h. That explains things then! Though Hayate still doesn't trust Souji at all, so he'll stay on his guard just in case...!]

I-I see... If this is your home, then where exactly is this place, dangerous person? [And why couldn't he go back to his own home... He's not stuck here in Souji's world, is he?!]

[gohon]

Earth. [ ... He probably should be more specific than that. ] Japan. Kyoto. ...Shinsengumi Headquarters.

[ Narrows his eyes a little. Shut yo mouf, hayate ] And I mean it, if you don't keep your voice down I might have to silence you myself. [ There's a twinkle in his eye!! The same kind like when a kid sees a cake. Yeah. ]

[whimsicalwinds]

Eh? That's my home too-- [wait. the last two parts aren't. Especially the very last.] Shinsengumi Headquarters?!

[Holy crap. Hayate's a time traveler. ...He has to be really careful here, huh?! Even just stepping on an ant could disrupt the balance of space and time and change the future, and possibly even destroy the world! ...So Hayate may muse over, anyway.

But given Souji's response, he quickly shuts up, only half because of his threat. The other half is because he's afraid that he may destroy the world by being here.] R-right...

[gohon]

Good boy. [ He brightens! And turns to leave the room when-- ]

Oh, right. I might get in trouble if someone finds you here. ...You think you could hide out a little bit while I'm gone?

[whimsicalwinds]

[WAIT WAIT NO WHY ARE YOU LEAVING SCREAM don't leave Hayate alone in this unknown and potentially dangerous place! Even if Souji is a dangerous person... this is just. uh.]

...E-eh?! W-where are you going? And where am I supposed to hide?!

[ wow kid don't get so worked up

He doesn't say much, but instead just lets his eyes deliberately wander to the closet at the other end of the room. Go make yourself comfortable.

Lazy wave! ] I'll be right back. [ AND HE'S GONE.

He has to do work too, you know. He'll come back when he's done. Promise. ]

...What a dangerous and rude person... [SIIIIIGH. He really doesn't want to listen to Souji, but he figures it really would be best if he just... stayed in here. And hid. ...maybe.

He slides open the closet door and just.. stares inside of it. It's not very big! Would he even be able to fit okay in there... Decisions decisions.] A-ah... He better be back soon...

[8 | ...Screw it. He'll go ahead and plop down inside of there anyway with another large sigh.]

[ Be "right back" actually might translate into a few hours, considering he has to eat with the rest of everyone else, give and watch lessons and all that important jazz. Being high ranking isn't a walk in the park and stuff, you know? Though he'll oh-so-nicely slip away early at lunch and bring back a few rice balls for his odd guest. And without so much as a warning, throws open the door. ]

Hi. Hungry?

[Hayate's an extremely patient person, really. But considering the, er... predicament he's in now... yeah not so much. He was on the verge of getting up and actually leaving the room with his pro stealth skills (lolno) to figure out what was going on when Souji finally came in. Goodness. What took you so long?!

And if his growling stomach is anything to go by.. yeah. Shooting Souji a bit of a glare, he nods.] ...Y-yes.. I am.

[gohon]

Here you go. [ Pulling the riceballs from his sleeve and handing them to him. With a nice smile, and everything! ]

And you should probably change that outfit. You stand out a lot. [ He slides open the other side of the closet (... and probably closing the other one in front of Hayate, in the process) to get to his tiny thing of clothes and begins to dig through them. Hmm. Souji is pretty tall, so most of these probably won't fit him... Maybe he can borrow something from Heisuke. He won't mind, right? ]

Thank you very much, dangerous person. [HE SUPPOSES... But he'll just take those riceballs and start eating them then. These better not be poisoned!!

Hayate looks over at the other side of the closet as Souji closes his side (rude) and stares at that tiny thing of clothes. If those are Souji's, then...] A-ah... Would any of those even fit me?

[gohon]

[ They're not poisoned. Gosh. Chizuru made them. I don't think she even knows what poison is :|a!! ]

Hmm... [ Sifting through them. Yeah, these are probably too big for him. Shutting the drawer. ] Maybe not.

[ Yeah gonna go steal some stuff from Heisuke. Standing up! Not even bothering to turn around and address Hayate properly before exiting the room. ] I'll be back, okay? [ AND HE'S GONE AGAIN ]

[MAYBE SHE LEARNED... okay no.]

Eh? Um... Okay!-- [Except he's already gone. 8| ...gdi Souji. Stop doing that! And is it still necessary to be hiding in this closet? He'll just continue sitting in there anyway, just in case but... yeah. Waiting and finishing these riceballs with the most annoyed expression he could possibly make.]

Luckily Heisuke's not in his room. So! Picking out a very plain-looking kimono for him and waltzing right back to his own room. That wasn't hard at all!

When he comes back he'll make sure to open the closet for him properly, handing out the kimono with a grin. A grinsmirk. ]

Here you go. Rounds are soon, so don't take too long.

[Gosh finally! Hayate stands back up when Souji opens the closet, and then takes the kimono, examining it for a moment and nodding while Souji speaks.

...wait.]

...E-eh? "Rounds"? [...Whaaaat are you talking about, Souji.]

That's right. Rounds. [ He says the latter word more slowly, as if it'll make him understand what's going on better or something.

Souji wanders over to the other side of the room to tend to his swords in preparation. ] What. Don't tell me, you haven't figured it out yet?

[Hayate just.. shoots Souji a glare at the first part. He heard you, okay...!] No, of course not! Since you haven't explained what you mean, after all--

[...wait. Swords. Shinsengumi. Rounds. Swords. Rounds. ...Rounds.] ...W-wait... You don't mean...

Mm. My name's Okita Souji. [ Glancing over his shoulder, saying it slowly and throwing Hayate a (rather intimidating) grin. It's as if he's saying "Satisfied now?" ]

Okita Souji... [Why does that name... oh. oh. ...oh dear.]

..E-eeeeeh?! Okita Souji... that's really you, dangerous person?! [He truly is a dangerous person! And that means by 'rounds' he really did mean what Hayate thought, huh..]

[gohon]

Yep. But I'd prefer it if you didn't call me 'dangerous' all the time. [ Because he's not. He's perfectly innocent. And harmless! He couldn't hurt a fly. You're getting ideas, Hayate.

Turning his attention back to his weapons. ] Are you done changing yet?

[Sure, sure... But you know, Hayate's been so stuck on this 'rounds' and oh lol souji thing that he actually hasn't even started getting changed yet! Oops. So he'll frantically get right on that..!]

...O-oh! Right! Um... Just give me one more moment, danger--ah, Souji-san!

[Just give him a minute and..] Um.. There we go!

[ Glancing back, just to confirm. ] Good boy.

[ Give him a moment, he's going to finish up. There's still some time before they have to leave. Amuse yourself boy!!!!!!!!!!! ]

[Wow, what is he? A dog?! ...but yeah it would probably be polite if Hayate introduced himself, huh? Even with the circumstances..] A-ah, um... My name is Hayate Ayasaki, by the way.

[..er. yeah. ...dododo] Um... If I'm going on these 'rounds' with you, won't people not recognize me and know I'm not actually a part of you...?

[ A light blue haori's being tossed your way. It's even your size!! ]

As long as Kondo-san or Hijikata-san don't see you, I don't see a problem with it. [ dismissive shrug. There is the problem of the possibility of actually being attacked. Souji doesn't feel particularly responsible for keeping him alive, so he'll need his own sword...
