A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

[Wow, what is he? A dog?! ...but yeah it would probably be polite if Hayate introduced himself, huh? Even with the circumstances..] A-ah, um... My name is Hayate Ayasaki, by the way.

[..er. yeah. ...dododo] Um... If I'm going on these 'rounds' with you, won't people not recognize me and know I'm not actually a part of you...?

[ A light blue haori's being tossed your way. It's even your size!! ]

As long as Kondo-san or Hijikata-san don't see you, I don't see a problem with it. [ dismissive shrug. There is the problem of the possibility of actually being attacked. Souji doesn't feel particularly responsible for keeping him alive, so he'll need his own sword...

This situation is different from Chizuru's. :|a ]

[Hayate's catching it like a boss...! Or something. It's obvious that he's incredibly unsure about all of this...]

Kondo-san and Hijikata-san..? [So they're here too... This is all so weird.] I-I see... Well, I'm good at stealth, [no he isn't] so I'm sure they won't see me!

[...] Um... Do I need a weapon of some sort?

Mm... [ He does. Souji glances over to the tanto sitting on his display... Poor thing. Even Chizuru has a bigger weapon than Hayate would. And she's a girl.

He nods to it anyway. ] Go ahead. Just don't lose it.

A-ah... O-okay! I won't! [Except Souji really shouldn't have said that. Because with Hayate's luck, he just may end up losing it at some point oops.

But he'll go ahead and take it, examining it for a moment. Sure it's incredibly small, but Hayate doesn't really mind...! Even though bigger swords are cooler. Oh well.]

[gohon]

[ BOI YOU BETTER NOT LOSE THAT. Or you will really regret it. I mean really really. Like an earn the money to buy another one drinking competition with Shinpachi kind of punishment. How would you like that. huh. huh. huh.huhuhuhuhuuuhuhuhhb. ]

Good! [ Standing, putting his swords on his waist and turning to leave again. ] I'll be right back. [ And... he's gone again! ]

[BUT YOU'VE ALREADY JINXED IT, SOUJI...

And apparently he also already left before Hayate could even respond to that. Goodness, stop doing that!! In the mean time, Hayate will just be looking around this room or something. yeah.]

[ BAD HAYATE, SIT!!!!

Nah, this time he'll take a little longer. HURRYUPANDGETDRESSEDWEHAVETOGOONROUNDS was kind of a lie hahahahahah!!! ]

[WOW WHAT A JERK.

If Souji doesn't return soon, Hayate maaaay just take a peek outside to see what's holding him up! But for now he'll just be examining all the things. SO HURRY UP ALREADY.]

[ And Souji will be coming back just as Hayate is peeking out the door! Uh oh. He gives a quick glance around and hurries his pace, practically shoving his guest back into the room. ]

I didn't tell you you could leave.

[gosh Souji no need to be so pushy! Hayate nearly trips over his feet when he does that... rude.]

I-I know that! But you were taking quite a long time, so I wanted to see what was going on...

[gohon]

I do work here, you know. [ All matter-of-factly. Get with the program Hayate!

Souji strides to the other side of the room and starts putting on his haori and headband. Now for real rounds will be happening ok. okokok

And as he's doing so, he gives a very noticeable shudder. Is it fake?? Is it real??? ] I can't even imagine what would have happened to you if Hijikata-san spotted you.

[Working here or not, Hayate's not supposed to be here in the first place! You should not be leaving lost kids unattended, Souji--

But Hayate will just. watch him do that. Still looking rather irritated. This guy is so annoying!!]

Well, what would have happened if someone happened to come into this room while you were out of it and I was still here? Like this Hijikata-san.

I wonder... [ Glances back and flashes a predatory grin at him. ]

Well then, shall we get going?

[...HAYATE DOES NOT LIKE THAT GRIN. Which then gets him slightly worried..]

A-ah, I suppose so, but... Is this Hijikata-san going to see me on the way out?

[gohon]

Not if I can help it. [ Because then he'd get in big trouble, too!

Walking back over to Hayate and begins ushering him out. c'mon c'mon lets's gogogoogogogogogogogo

What do you mean--

[except now he's getting cut off by this ushering. Okay, okay! He's going, he's going!]

[ And so we're taking the long way around to the front to avoid said demon vice-commander, Souji quickly pushing Hayate along so no one will think that they're idle and stop them to ask questions. Can't have that. No time to explain! ...More like he doesn't want to hahahaha.

They get to the front and most of Souji's unit is already there, waiting. It seems the other group went ahead... ]

[While Souji does that, Hayate's going to be looking around while trying to keep his balance. ..Or as much as possible, anyway. This shoving isn't making his sightseeing any easier!

Aaand then they catch up with Souji's unit.] Are these people Shinsengumi too? [...well it's pretty obvious but w/e!]

[gohon]

Yep. That's right. [ The men in his squad recognize his presence and he greets them back. He takes his place at the front.

Ushering Hayate into the group of others. ...Yeah he really stands out. Oh well. ]

Hayate-kun? Stay close behind me.

[Yeaaah being surrounded by all these unfamiliar and certainly dangerous men sure is awkward.]

A-ah... this truly is a bit of a dangerous situation, isn't it..? I'll have to make sure not to make any wrong moves..! --eh? Oh, y-yes, Souji-san! I will!

[ And off they go!

Take in the sights of 19th century Kyoto, Hayate. You may have read about it in textbooks, or seen pictures, or seen recreations in movies, but this is the real deal. This is a normal everyday scenery for Souji, and to anyone who's not trained he looks like he's just taking a stroll in the city (if it weren't for the blue haori and the army of men behind him), but upon closer look he's quite alert and ready. Though he is adjusting his pace to make sure that he and Hayate aren't ambushed. You don't look like a fighter, kid. ]

[You'd be surprised, Souji... Even though Hayate had been tense and keeping his guard up before, while they're walking around like this? That's kind of hard to do. It's not every day where you get to be a time traveler, you know. Souji's composure confuses Hayate for a moment, but then he gets a bit distracted and goes back to glancing around and sightseeing.

..He may even be letting out some ooohs and ahhhs. This is all so weird.]

[gohon]

[ ... It's really tempting to just turn around and scold him for not making himself so obvious a target but... if he gets attacked, then it's his own fault. HAH. So Souji just throws a warning glance back there at him.

And out of the corner of his eye he spots some ronin sitting at the edge of an alleyway, giving Souji and his entourage The Eye. Hm. Not so much making eye contact with them but making sure they're not the sort of people that would cause trouble... ]
