Our hearts, covered in patches and stitches, are in a state of instability.
Who: Masaomi (and Linda), Shikamaru (and a deer), and much later Silver (with some pokemon?)
What: A hike through the mountains
When: The 10th onwards (ending...17thish?)
Where: The... Mountains. Including a fertile valley.
Summary: Masaomi is really depressed and really needs to get away. So he goes to hunt down Shikamaru (and later makes good on a bet)
Rating: Vegas
[To say Masaomi Kida was in pain would be the understatement of the century. It wasn't just what happened the day before. It wasn't just the trip home which he now remembered. It wasn't just the sweetness of the lie which made it hurt. It wasn't anything else to do with the AU experiment either. It was all of those things and more - his own weakness, his own pain, his own frustration with the person he was now. And frankly, he couldn't take it anymore. As he promised the Error Katara on the 9th, he was gone by the tenth, marching out of the village by mid-day in his ninja flack vest and carrying a decent sized backpack of food with him. ...
It seemed like a better idea then. He got the mountains's base by the end of the day, made camp a ways up, and then began his hike in the morning. He kept this up (with isolated meditation attempts and "training Linda" attempts until about the morning on the 12th, at which point, well. He concluded he was lost.
...It was then that he ran into an enormous deer.I will let Pi decide if that is threaded or we just cut to the chase]

Linda has her bangs because of Gold. [He would point, but. Hands are full.] She probably also has some personality trait she shares with Gold.
More importantly, all of her strengths have been drawn out to their maximum potential. All because Gold touched her egg.

Okay, let's try this again. Are you telling me she's born as strong as Chuchu, for example, or with the potential to be as strong as Chuchu?
no subject
A Tyranitar is a giant... It's a ridiculously strong Pokémon. It kept the rest of his team from doing a single thing without even trying, but a Togepi from an egg Gold just hatched made it look like a chump.
Even with all of that, there's still a potential for him to get a lot stronger. I don't think Linda's that strong and crazy, but you get the idea. [Basically Linda's hax.]

...Wha- She--
WHAT?

...Linda, show him a regular tackle now.
[Linda blinks. Okay? Incoming regular tackle!
...which she actually is quite good at]
no subject
...Oh, right.] Murkrow, Roost. [Murkrow blinks for a moment before pretty promptly landing and perching. From there, well... He starts to glow. When all is said and done, he's all healed up and ready to take more hits and look cool doing it.]

[He asks Silver to explain before he opens and closes his hand at Linda to signal her next move. Linda nods and builds up her energy. Her cheek-ports glow brightly before there's a blinding Flash of light. She's only faintly glowing after the initial burst though, not nearly enough to be a proper cave-flashlight]

Now naively, or maybe stupidly, Silver's going to look right in the direction of Linda's Flash to see what exactly it is... Which he pretty quickly figures out was a really bad idea. Silver once again stops to wait for his eyes to readjust to the light. Murkrow's having the same problem but worse since the attack was directed right at him. The fact that it doesn't remain is a bit overlooked.]
That's Flash. It can be used to light up caves, temporarily blind an opponent... Or whatever else you can think to use the light for. ...A little warning would've been nice.

Why can't I tell Gold that one?

Fair enough. [A hum, and then Masaomi looks back at Linda He snaps his fingers and at the end of it points his index finger up. Linda nods, and because she's tired this takes a bit, but starting from her cheeks, she charges the rest of her fur. There's a sound similar to the one Magneto makes when he flies and Magnet Rise activates to float her off the ground.
...That said her control on this one isn't perfect (mostly because Masaomi couldn't see a practical application for it, cool at it is) so she spins in the air as if in Zero G]

It should really help against her one big weakness.

[Not like he's know. ...What's a Mud Shot?]

[...Well then. he snaps his fingers and points down. Lidna responds by having her cheeks buzz and a slower moving arc of electric waves fly over the Murkrow. Thunder Wave]

That one's Thunder Wave. It guarantees paralysis on a hit. Most electric moves and Linda's ability occasionally cause paralysis too, but you probably noticed that.
