After months of planning and roping in poor, innocent people to help out with some of the work it's finally done. An actual festival, all for the starfish.

The morning of the 14th mostly consists of people arriving, the stalls being brought in and decorations being put up. It's all about the preparation! Most of the decorating consists of banners and streamers you might find at a school festival, all hung around doors and windows and between the buildings in the plaza. And star shaped pieces of card being stuck up here and there in places too. If the decorations don't tell you what's going on then the banners saying 'STARFISH FESTIVAL' certainly will.

Come midday the festival is in full swing. There's plenty of food at many of the stalls (either prepared by Fuuko and the other girls or brought in by other villagers) ranging from cake, ice cream and different kinds of sweet things, to starfish tea, sandwiches, all sorts of festival fare. There are a few games set up too where it's possible to win starfish related prizes like pins, badges and even plush toys and some stalls are even giving out wind chimes. Finally there's also a little entertainment provided with music being played in the background throughout most of the festival. (You should totally go listen to Kotomi giving her very own violin recital.)

By night time when most of the food is gone there will be a fireworks display to bring an end to the festival. Hopefully the Starfish Festival would be a day to remember!

(You didn't need to receive an invite in order to come, that was just the girl's attempt at getting word of the festival out there. The festival is open to anyone and everyone to come along and have a good time.)

Morning
[Fuuko is running around as fast as she can, flinging colourful streamers everywhere she can manage to reach and having a lot of fun doing so. The festival hasn't even started yet but she's already having fun. With help from Ginji she'll also be carrying in, or trying to, some of the wooden stalls for the festival.

There are some places that are a little too high up for her to reach which she might need a hand with decorating, and hanging banners between buildings is definitely something that she'll need help with, but otherwise she's fine decorating by herself.]

Midday
[Now things have gotten started Fuuko is properly enjoying herself. It won't be possible for her to try everything, as much as she wants to, but little starfish can only eat so much before they get full. She'll be trying to talk to as many people as she can to see if they're enjoying themselves and having fun, even the weird guys!

When not out and looking around Fuuko can be found sitting at a stall with a pretty tasty looking starfish shaped cake which she'll be giving out, along with some badges she made herself (again, starfish shaped) which she'll be more than happy to pin on anyone who comes over.]

Night
[Sitting on the fountain, Fuuko is staring at the sky wide-eyed. The festival passed by so quickly and now it's really going out with a bang. Today was the day one of her dreams came true, to hold a real live Starfish Festival. Is this anything like the Starfish Festival Tomoya said he would take her to in her dreams? Hopefully it is.

Though she's quiet it's clear Fuuko is enjoying herself by the smile which seems to be permanently stuck on her face for the duration of the display.]

Morning
[He'll be stretching himself out for a bit before he decides to jump in to help out with decorating the festival and setting up stands. Despite his laid-back personality, it looks like he's working hard.]

Midday
[Arata is hard at work making yakisoba for anyone that wants some. His stand might stand (Ha HA) out more amonst the starfish-related foods, but a guy's gotta make business somewhere!

Whenever he decides to take a break (even putting a "ON BREAK FOR [INSERT AMOUNT OF TIME HERE], he'll head out to have some fun himself by checking out the games, the other food stands and the LADIES.]

Night
[And now that the day is almost over, Arata will be chilling as he looks at the sky. When was the last time he saw fireworks? Probably when he went to another festival with his cousin. The memory of that makes him frown for a moment since he's still very worried about her, but he rebounds when the show starts.]

[ midday ]

[ Thanks to all of those kind (and very, very unfortunate) souls who went to come see Kotomi play the violin, she's rather pumped up about this, after all..! And a little nervous, considering she hasn't played for this many people in Luceti before yet, what if they don't like it.. but it's okay, all she can do is her best. So she's standing on a small platform, just enough to be able to stick out over the sitting crowd, holding the violin in her arms as she speaks up a little nervously. ]

U.. um.. My name is Kotomi, Kotomi Ichinose. You write Kotomi with three wonderful hiragana. And.. right now I'd like to let everyone hear a song dedicated to the starfish.

[ GOOD ENOUGH OF AN INTRODUCTION, RIGHT? So she lifts the violin with perfect technique for those of you who can notice that sort of thing.. and she starts playing.

And it sounds awful. Not just regularly awful, no, this is the kind of awful that nearly makes you ears bleed and people faint. Good luck, brave listeners. ]

[ Working so hard, Arata. Kotomi spots him during it, since she's helping out a little too.. or more like spacing out a little since she will forever be Kotomi. ]

Ah.. Arata-kun, good day.

[ Oh, did someone say cake, since Fuuko's cake brings all the megucas to the festival. So have a smiling Madoka, she came as promised... ]

Fuuko-chan! Ah, did you make this cake all by yourself..?

[Does a little salute as he puts down a stand!]

Yo, Kotomi-chan! I'm seriously pumped for this!

[ She was prepared for this. The moment Kotomi had first shown her how she played, Shiki knew this was inevitable. She sighed, watching her friend from afar. The violin was raised to her chin slowly, and almost simultaneously, Shiki took out small, white ear plugs and raised them to the sides of her head. The bow was in place. The ear plugs drew nearer. Bow and strings connect, staying still in their place, much like the ear plugs. The first stroke was made.

And never before had Shiki enjoyed silence so much. All she could do was pray for the other souls involved in this. ]

[ A starfish festival? That was random. Shiki had no idea what to expect after what Kotomi had told her, or rather, failed to tell her. All she knew was the day, time, and two other girls, supposedly classmates of Kotomi from her homeworld, were helping out as well. It's not like she was doing anything today anyway, so no harm in checking it out right?

She arrived in the plaza, only to see the decorations were already half done. A small girl was running around, attempting to take care of all the decorations herself, even though there were obvious places she was missing. Well...she was already here, right? She approached the girl, calmly talking to her. ]

Need any help?

I can see that, Arata-kun is working really hard.. I'm impressed. [ a tiny (if not a little blank like usual) smile. ]

I'm trying my best for the starfish festival as well.

[ Shiki was the only one who was wise enough to know.. Or rather, the one she secretly practised to, especially during the AU week and all. But yes, Kotomi just happily plays on - completely oblivious - until the end of the song.

And.. considering Shiki is there and still standing, she approaches her afterwards. ]

Shiki-chan. Did you enjoy the song..? [ so hopeful. ]

Heh~ I should consider that my very first accomplishment today!

Oh? Are you going to cook or do something else?

I'll be playing the violin later today. A song dedicated to the starfish. It will be a real recital, just like the one I've had back home.

Will Arata-kun come to listen for a bit by then too..? I'd really, really like that.

Yes. [ She enjoyed the way you looked holding a violin at least. Stealthily popping out the ear plugs and returning them to her jacket pocket, Shiki smiled to the now approaching Kotomi. ]

I can tell you've been practicing.

[ Kotomi totally believes it either way, she's such great friends with Shiki, why would the girl ever lie to her!! ]

Of course I've been practicing.. I wanted everyone to enjoy my song as much as possible. [ blink. ] I'm really, really glad though that Shiki-chan liked it.. That's really important to me.

[ Why did seeing her smiling face make her so happy? It almost made Shiki feel bad for lying.

Almost. ]

What was the name of this song, Kotomi?

[ rude. ]

Etude Pour les Petites Étoiles de Mer. [ speaking French as if it's nothing, yes. ] Isn't it a good name..?

[As he promised Fuuko, Minato spends the festival with his camera out, snapping pictures of the festivities. He's mostly trying for good candid shots, so for most of the day he will wander around, looking for good subject matter. If something is too good to risk missing, he may even stop to ask for a posed shot. He'll take pictures of nearly everyone, but people he knows well may end up shadowed for a while.

While roaming, he'll also try out the festival games, and of course, listen to the musicians (and probably wish that he hadn't.)]

[Robo-Ky kind of wandered into the Starfish Festival with no expectations, but the one thing he didn't except to see from it was torturous warfare. Especially from someone like Kotomi. He has to cover his... ears (?) from it, but damn.

It must be an attack against the humans trying to enjoy their time. Brilliant.]

[Courtesy of Good Spirits, Zack's set up a bar booth outside the main building- the big difference being there is no alcohol served today! Instead, there's a collection of fruit, milk, ice cream, and juices set up, with cups and a little customized menu. Milkshakes, juice, lemonade, slushies- it's all about the sweet stuff here! Kid-friendly and everything.

Zack will be serving stuff for as long as the festival is going on, otherwise just sitting back and enjoying the show. Feel free to chat him up or just bully him into making you something awesome. |D]

[Midday]

[Ragna did promise that he'd give coming to the festival some thought, and since he couldn't think of anything else more important to do, here he was. At the festival. Being Ragna.

Looking completely lost on what to do now that he was actually... y'know, here.

Don't mind the kind of intimidating looking man just standing around in one area throughout the day. He just has nothing better to do, and doesn't want to wander around too much. He's really doing his best of trying not to look like he's lost and doesn't want to be here either.

... But he is eying those games.]

[Night]

[It's hard to ignore something like a fireworks display, and quite frankly, it's something that Ragna never had a lot of time to experience often. Even if he doesn't want to show it, his eyes are fixated on it and he's actually... enjoying it.]

[Oh, he came just in time! Taking a break from his gardening to hear Kotomi's violin piece; her form is perfect and she's so pretty with it--

On the first stroke, though, he's down. He's down for the count, Kotomi.]

[It comes from behind when he's least expecting it. Its footsteps are silent as Ragna looks at one of the stalls. Its stench...well, it really doesn't smell bad.

But it sees Ragna. And it moves closer, closer, and closer still until it lets out a blood curling...]

Oh! Ragna! You're here, too!

[It's Thing. And he's fixed, at least.]

[Ragna jumps the moment Mieu speaks up, not expecting someone to sneak up on him like that. Least of all of those things being Mieu. It's especially evident when he spins around, only to let a look of confusion pass on his face before looking down at him.]

... Yeah. I didn't expect you to be here.

[ Her ~~brilliant plan succeeded~~ violin recital failed, but Kotomi doesn't seem to notice as much, she just keeps playing happily and obliviously until the very end of her song, that's when she looks around curiously at everyone seeming to be in pain, what happened..

Oh, wait, that person over there seems a little familiar.. right! She quickly trots over to him. ]

Robo-Ky-kun, right..? Good day. I'm really, really glad you came to listen..

[ NO LUCA DON'T DIE-- but Kotomi doesn't even notice, so it takes a few minutes for her to finish the piece before she stops, looking around strangely because why is everyone down for the count, what happened-- oh, wait, she knows that one, right? Time to come over.. ]

... Luca-kun? Are you.. okay?
