[wh...... THIS IS NO TRENCHCOAT. WHY WAS THERE NOTHING ELSE IN HIS CLOSET??

... ...Well, you know what they say: when life gives you a giant sword, start practicing swingin' that thing! ...In a place where he's not likely to hit someone else, that is. And so, Ingo shall be marching determinedly towards the forest in this getup!]

[The further into the forest you go, the stranger things get.
First, there's the lack of animal sounds. What kind of forest doesn't have the distant sound of squirrels cracking nuts or birds chirping? Only the kind only the bravest adventurers will enter, that's what, and this forest isn't quite ominous-looking enough to play the part.
Second, there's The Noise. The Noise starts out low at first. It seeps into your very being. It makes your ears pop, the same way flying too high into the sky with your Pokémon makes your ears pop. Then, it gradually gets louder, the vibrating quality of it vaguely reminiscent of a string instrument... No, that's silly. No string instrument could ever produce such a sound, right?

It's hard to say where The Noise comes from, exactly. But you're getting closer.]

[Wow, that is kind of The Worst Noise In The World. If that's this RPG game's excuse for background music, I'm so out of here.

Assaulted by high-pitched Noise as he is, Ingo doesn't turn back-- he only looks more irritated as he continues to forge on ahead. Whatever that racket is, he won't let it be enough to stop a Subway Boss!

[You reach a small clearing.

Sitting on a tree stump is a man (a bard, if his outfit is any indication), playing the lute in the most horrendous way possible. His singing actually isn't bad, which makes the whole thing even more jarring. The friendly Disney animals of the forest, sadly, are nowhere to be found.
You feel a rush of energy at the sound, despite its eardrums-melting terribleness. How strange.

Anyway-- as much as Ingo would love to go to page 12, he will be opting for 5, thank you. And while it's probably polite to wait until a song is over before approaching him.... I'm afraid Ingo's patience limit isn't quite that tolerable.]
