Summary: Gold and Silver have been in Luceti together for a year and yet have never had a single Pokémon battle. Deciding it's time to rectify, they head off to the Battle Dome to throw down!
Rating: PG? I mean, it's Pokémon...
[Gold had been anxiously waiting for this day. Sure, the standard format for Pokémon battles involved just battling whenever your eyes meet, but if they did that, there'd be constant battles all day, every day. Therefore, these things had to be planned.

...Besides that, Silver was his rival. Always has been, always will be. That makes this battle special. A battle to settle old scores... No, a battle to determine who's the best trainer out of the two of them, and furthermore... To show everyone just how it's done.

It was time. Their battle lies ahead.]

I could follow what they were doing until about then they launched their super moves to make the explosions. It made sense until about then.

That's because there were some tactics until then. Think of the endgame like an arm-wrestling match, but with elements. [He laces his fingers behind his neck now, as they walk.] It boiled down to sheer strength.

It's true. I doubt I'll ever fight quite like Gold does though.

Gold functions entirely on instinct. It's not something I'm intuitive or lucky enough to do.

He's also had anywhere between five years and his entire life to forge a bond strong enough with his Pokemon to pull that off.

He has his own style. So does Silver, who was able to go toe-to-toe with him. Having a different approach to this than them is a good thing.

Silver raises a good point. But to take it a step further from what he sees, at this stage weapon's training is likely doing more harm than good for you both.

Even if that's true or not true, this is something I have to do. [As his Backup, Shikamaru's probably been informed the reason. It's to make Sokka respect him, how he can prove himself to the guy]

You don't need to stop, but it'd be a bad idea to continue on without making some adjustments.
