Summary: Gold and Silver have been in Luceti together for a year and yet have never had a single Pokémon battle. Deciding it's time to rectify, they head off to the Battle Dome to throw down!
Rating: PG? I mean, it's Pokémon...
[Gold had been anxiously waiting for this day. Sure, the standard format for Pokémon battles involved just battling whenever your eyes meet, but if they did that, there'd be constant battles all day, every day. Therefore, these things had to be planned.

...Besides that, Silver was his rival. Always has been, always will be. That makes this battle special. A battle to settle old scores... No, a battle to determine who's the best trainer out of the two of them, and furthermore... To show everyone just how it's done.

It was time. Their battle lies ahead.]

Swellow, I think. One of the guys here has it and he told me about Soren and all. It's a really big bird with wings that stretch really far. [Stretching out his arms to show!!] But it's longer than my arms. And really fast.

That's really cool! Do you know who Soren's parents were?

Like it matters. [So no. Not that he'd remember, anyway. But if Silver had a bird and Brendan had a bird, maybe that was it? He doesn't really care.]

All I know is that I'm his guardian now. At least he learned to fly before we met, because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to help out.

Maybe it does matter! Skarmy and Soren could have the same parents!

[Well, he's not one to talk about having difference species as siblings, but Soren is totally against this. Hell no! He'd never have such a terror of a sister! His sister'd be sweet or totally tsundere!]

I guess it could be possibly, but why would that matter..?

I just thought it might be nice? Silver's Murkrow is Skarmy's dad after all.

[Skarmy, with a smug grin, puffs out her chest. She takes pride in her dad being the most awesome bird she knows. Awwww yeah.]

That explains a good deal. To Soren, at least.]

Well... I mean, I only know a few people with bird Pokémon, so I guess it's possible they're like, brother and sister or something.

Wouldn't that be great? If they have family here that means they'll be less alone.

I'd count them as family anyway, they're both pretty stupid. [and troublemakers.]

[Does this make them siblings too. Because having such a bright happy girl as a sister is not on his top want list.

For the record, Skarmy, Soren would be against it if it wasn't for the fact you are improving by being his sister. Be thankful.]

Yeah, at least they've got each other. They're better off than most people here, I think.
