Who: Anyone attending Nami's birthday party. /o/
What: ...Nami's birthday party. 8|
When: Evening on the 4th July.
Where: The mikan orchard.
Summary: An impromptu last minute stubborn celebration of something that's fun.

[Tis a mingling post. Mingle! Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

Yeah! Um, you jump on it, and it's springy, so you bounce really high!

[She giggles.] He is. He gets lost all the time!

[ THAT SOUNDS SO MAGICAL. Ikki is clearly impressed. ] Wo-ow! Can I play on it sometime?

[ She giggles, too. ] That's silly! I guess it's not worrying, huh?

Sure! It's a lot of fun! [She's pretty sure none of the Strawhats will mind if she invites Ikki over to play. Things are pretty casual there.]

I guess not! He always gets home eventually. [She peers into the mikan trees.] I bet he's probably lost in there right now. I don't see him out here, but he must be at the party.

[She laughs, thinking of a new wrinkle they can add to hide and seek tag.] If you find Zoro in the trees, you get a bonus! [A bonus what, she's not sure, but it sounds official.]

Well, Katara's birthday is tomorrow, soooo - maybe this weekend!

[ Ikki looks around, too. ] I don't see anyone with green hair!

[ She laughs, then claps. ] Yeah! A definite bonus! Should we start now?

Uh. [She feels like she should know this, but Ikki has kind of a big family.] Who's Katara again?

[...oh right, there were about to play a game, weren't they?] Yeah, okay! Who should be it first?

[ Yeah, it doesn't help that she keeps adding people, either. ] My GranGran. She's the one with dark hair and skin and really pretty blue eyes. [ POINTING~~~ Since Katara's at this shindig. ]

Hmmmm. Do you want to be?

[Oh, okay. She'll do her best to remember.]]

Sure, I can! I'll count to twenty, okay? And then when I'm done, I'll yell, "Ready or not, here I come!" and find you!

[She doesn't wait for confirmation from Ikki before leaning against a mikan tree and covering her eyes.] One...two...three...

[ Ikki doesn't mind if she forgets. She's got a lot of people to keep straight! ]

Okay!! [ As soon as Vivi leans against the tree, Ikki's off like a shot. Where to hide? Under the refreshment table? Behind a tree? In a tree? No, that wouldn't be fair, because she'd be too hard to tag. So that meant...

Oh, the count was going up. Um, quick decision to stash herself in a group of handy party guests. 8|a ]

...eighteen...nineteen...twenty! Ready or not, here I come!

[Vivi has no idea where to start. She scans the mikan grove for any flash of Ikki's robes, and sees nothing. Of course, she might still be hidden behind a tree. Hm.]

[Vivi decides to check the immediate area first, looking for any kind of hint to Ikki's whereabouts--a footprint, maybe. She's circling around the nearby trees, finding no sign of her.]

[ She's light on her feet - Ikki doesn't think about it much, but unless there happens to be snow or mud, she tends to leave no particular trace.

Except, of course, for one thing.

Noise.

If Vivi listens closely to the group to the right, she might hear childish giggles mixed in, and might notice a guest or two pretending not to notice something within their group. ]

[Vivi does eventually turn her attention to the crowd of people, finding no trace of Ikki among the trees. Coming closer, she thinks she catches the sound of Ikki laughing, and with that clue, she has a destination in mind. She tries to approach stealthily, hoping to catch the other girl by surprise, though she's not exactly sure where she is yet.]

[And then she catches a glimpse of orange and begins weaving her way through the group of grown-ups, hoping she won't be spotted by her prey.]

[ She hasn't been spotted yet, since Ikki's peering around grown-ups in the other direction, and still trying to muffle her laughter. ]

[Vivi slowly makes her way through the crowd, a task made a little more difficult by not being able to say "excuse me" when her path was blocked. But finally, there was Ikki, right in plain sight.]

I found you! [Vivi gives a shriek of laughter and lunges for the other girl.]

[ Ikki whirls around when she hears Vivi's voice, but alas, she does not move quickly enough to dodge the "tag" part of hide-and-seek tag.

She bursts out into giggles, no longer having to attempt to muffle them, and obligingly puts her hands over her eyes. ] One...

[Eek! She's started the count already! Vivi tries to weave her way out of the group of people as quickly as she can, but it still eats up a good chunk of time. Worried she won't have enough time to be safely hidden in the trees before Ikki finishes counting, Vivi hides under one of the food tables, pulling the tablecloth a little lower to cover her--and subsequently shifting a few of the dishes perilously close to the edge.]
