[Tis a mingling post. Mingle! Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

[He gives a nod, though his voice is a little hoarse.] I'm fine. Still just getting over it a bit, though.

[Oh. Well now he feels bad.] Nah, I'm just giving you a hard time. [You talked about him, he's happy. It's a weird thing to be happy about, but after listening to so many stories about Luffy and even Sabo, knowing that Ace counts him on that level in Luceti, really does mean a lot to him. So he ruffles Ace's hair playfully to show there aren't really any hard feelings.]

These things take time, eh. Make sure you get lots of vitamin C. [Nod.]

[He does switch to bird though and perch on Ace's shoulders. They got aired out when he went flying, but there's nothing like having a bit of extra fire to fluff them up. Like phoenix wash and fold!]

Still! [He just sighs and gestures for him to come.] Give me your wing.

[Gives!]

I'd rather keep you company anyway. Otherwise I sleep too much like a bird. [Meaning startle reflex set on high.]

[Okay, just gonna warm up his arm. Getting his flames go--

why is everything hotter?] Mmm... [He just needs to lean against something for a bit now.]

Oi... stop. [Frowns. Oh damn, he shouldn't have accepted that offer.] Fireworks, you okay?

[Once his flames go out, and he takes a few breaths, he feels a bit better. Huh. Okay.]

... I think using my flames makes my temperature go up.

[Not that it never did. He just can't control it now.]

Oh. That makes sense. [Phoenix snuggles, worrying about his idiot baby bro.] Don't push it then. I'm pretty dried out from flying. They just feel like they're going in wrong directions. [Feel free to point out that as fire, that is totally impossible. Ridiculous birdie.]

[He gives him a healthy smile.] I feel better. I just can't use my flames. And maybe we can brush your wings.
