[Tis a mingling post. Mingle!  Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

[Oh, one of the only people here (possibly) that Perona's actually pleased to see. She actually even smiles when Sanji approaches, and her hollows arc overhead so he can approach, though they still watch like overly happy hitmen. You only get one strike, Sanji. ]

Mm, I did. Though I'm not sure your pirate woman is very happy to see me here. [OH WELL.] Are you feeling better now, Mr. Cook?

[His pirate woman, she says. Thank goodness Nami isn't within hearing distance or she might rain lightning from the sky. Though the very fact Perona is here and hasn't been kicked off the premises Sanji takes to mean as a form of compromise - the birthday girl must be fine with it]

Indeed I am~! How kind of beautiful Perona-chan to inquire about the state of my health~! [Wiggle wiggle dance dance]

[Ahaha, what an insufferable imbecile. It's almost endearing the way he acts around her. Or at least she's getting more and more fond of the attention, if the way she giggles and quirks her head to one side is any indication. He's actually kind of cute when he tones it down a little bit. If only he was still a denguin, then Perona would be utterly enamored with him. Sigh, but beggars can't be choosers...]

Horohoro, did you make it all yourself, Mr. Cook? If so, I'll definitely partake of what you have to offer! I haven't been disappointed, yet. You'll show me what's available, won't you?

I made most of it, but some people were kind enough to bring their own dishes. [Which, frankly, Sanji appreciates. As much as he loves cooking for this event, it takes some of the edge off and allows him to frolic in the sea of beautiful women - right now being a prime example. He leads Perona over to the snack table, scrutinizing the presentation before turning back to the girl.]

Would Perona-chan prefer something sweet or savory this time?

[Following along, Perona idly thinks that she herself probably should have brought something, considering the event and stuff, but...oh well. She and Nami weren't exactly the very best of friends, after all. It was even surprising she was allowed to stay this long. But best not to try her luck before she's fed and watered. Her gift will be not fooling around. Yeah, that works.]

Hmm...savory, for now. And only a little. I'd like some cake later! And alcohol! [No pirate party is complete without the brew.] I haven't had any real strong alcohol in a very long time...

[Once she makes her preference clear, Sanji snatches up a plate of delicate-looking hors d'oeuvres he'd made specifically for the party, and then presents them with a flourished bow as if he were serving royalty] Here you are~! ♥

And rest assured, Perona-chan, there's more than enough alcohol to go around~ [Even with Zoro on the prowl]

Though with the tasty spread laid out before her, Perona's mind races over just what she should devour first. It all looks so good! As usual...hn, it's not fair that the Straw Hats get to keep such a talented, loyal, and perhaps a little irritating and perverted man! Why couldn't she have kept the adorable denguin version of him?! It's just not fair at all... He's wasted on those others, siiigh.]

Aaah...Mr. Cook, these all look so good! [Doo, dee, doo taking a few of those goodies, yup yup.] Mmh...and they're just as yummy as anything else you've made for me! And you aren't even tired at all? Having to serve such a boisterous bigmouth like that rubber boy... I feel a little bad for you.

[There's a lot in her phrasing Sanji could bring up, but what sticks with him is that last part. A smile is still on his face, but he glances at her uncertainly]

... Make me cute? [Wh-what, you mean he's not cute already? D8 Looking down at himself.]

Yes! I'm sure there's someone here that could give you some ears or a tail. Or I could just dress you up. [She is actually being serious, that's the terrifying part.]

The suit needs to be altered, maybe a few rips and tears and colorful patches, a cute little hat with horns, a cravat instead of this. [She tugs at his tie gently.] With a bat or skull brooch! Or a garnet stone....the color of blood, uwaah~! And some spiked boots! And chains! And bandages! Oh, and fangs, too. You need those.

If you had all those, then you'd be perfect!

A-ahaha... [He very, very slowly eases back, without making it too obvious, and holds up his hands. It might just be him, but he feels like he's encroaching on dangerous territory] Perona-chwan, my deepest apologies for not meeting your specifications~!

[He'll keep this in mind for Halloween, maybe, but that's as good as she's getting]

[Now why ever would you feel that way, chef? 8D? But Perona's fantasy bubble bursts in the worst of ways, and she's left with...him. Sighing, she waves her hand lazily and picks off some more snacks, nibbling them with a look of sheer indifference. She'll throw in a thoughtful hum, though, just to be a little polite. A little bit.]
