Where: The mikan orchard.
Summary: An impromptu last minute stubborn celebration of something that's fun.

[Tis a mingling post. Mingle!  Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

[... She holds her glass with both hands. She forgets how sometimes she gives small details away.]

No, Grune.

[She still remembers her request not to be called 'ma'am'. Strangely, in spite of having been only a kind request, it remains.]

I'm... I didn't do much of these things...

[For some reason, Daisy looks a little worried. She doesn't know why, but she does know that she wants her friend to relax and have fun.

And so she smiles and says:] That's all right. Would you like to make some now?

[... She shifts closer to Grune. She grabs a few parts.]

Can you teach me?

[lostinmyway]

Oh, yes, of course. It isn't hard at all.

[She looks about.] First, we need some scissors.

[Nami brought some of those, right?]

[daisy023]

[If they were provided, Daisy's not spotting them immediately.]

Are knives a substitute?

[But she's been taught to see a knife as a do-all thing. As a tool for cooking, for artistic carving, and for stabbing people.]

[People generally don't let her use knives for some reason, but--]

Yes, I'm sure that's just fine.

Now we need to cut the paper at the corners.

[With her finger, she traces a diagonal line from the corner of the square sheet of paper partway to the middle.]

[Being proficient with knives, Daisy knows how to cut things well. From her own square, the motions are accurate.]

After that... the edges are tied together?

[Assuming, only. Grune knows more about this civilian endeavor...]

[Grune doesn't answer right away; instead, she fiddles with the paper.

Once she's remembered, then she says:] Oh, no. Then we fold the edges to the middle and pin them.

[She begins doing so, one edge at a time.]

[She watches for a moment expecting Grune to immediately teach her, but waits.

Daisy blinks. Then imitates the motions of her friends' hands. She does see the logic behind the design of the pinwheel.

... Another image. Another memory.]

For how many pinwheels did you bring?

[Grune stops mid-pinwheel to think about that.]

Hmm.... I wonder.

[Basically as many as she could make before her memory went.]

Maybe we can make more until we run out of them.

[It'd be a good course of action.]

That's a good idea. Then Nami will have lots and lots!
