[Tis a mingling post. Mingle!  Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

[he deflates slightly at her question with an awkward laugh, though, shaking his head] No, I'm not talented enough to make her anything. [He digs into his pocket until he retrieves a simple blue box.] Not from scratch, anyway.

[Since Vivi showed him her gift, he'll show her his. Inside is a bracelet, tiny blue seashells adorned with those jewels Nami so covets, but there are other seashells too - some Sanji had found at the beach and added to the present]

Think she'll like it?

[Vivi leans in for a better look, clasping her hands.] Oooh. It's beautiful.

[She grins up at Sanji, nodding her head vigorously.] She'll love it!

Hey Sanji? Is Nami your girlfriend?

[concasse]

[/sdfhosif SPUTTER. Sanji nearly drops the box]

No, no! Nothing like that! [He waves his free hand in front of him, as if her accusations have been given physical form and he must ward them off] It's-- uh. She's just a very dear friend of mine.

Oh. Okay. [She thought she's figured something out, but apparently not. She supposes though, that Sanji can give Nami pretty jewelry just because they're friends and because Nami like jewelry a lot. But now that her mind has latched on to that particular line of thought...]

Do you have a girlfriend?

[concasse]

[His smile strains around the edges. He shakes his head.]

Afraid not. Not yet, anyway~! [But six-year-old or not, he can't let that comment go without turning it back on her. Voice taking on a sing-song quality, he asks]

But what about Vivi-chan~? [The answer better be a disgusted face and a shake of the head, young lady]

Noooo. [She draws it out to make it extra clear, shooting him an "are you serious?" kind of look. Geez, Sanji, she's only six.]

[Yeah that's what he thought. Snickering to himself.

And then his expression turns grave]

Good! Because Vivi-chan's always gonna be too young for a boyfriend! [Even when you're 80. So decrees the chef]

...nuh-uh. Not when I'm older.

[Not that she exactly is planning on anything, but she is pretty sure she knows how this is supposed to work.]

[concasse]

... Yeah-huh.

[Sanji: the most mature adult at this party]

Nuh-uh! I could when I'm almost grown-up, like in ten years. And then you get married and have babies.

[Seriously, Sanji, she's pretty sure she's got it figured out.]

[concasse]

Yeah-huh! Do you know how icky boys can be?! [He does not want to hear you uttering the word babies at age six]

Maybe in say.... fifty years.

Then I'll be too old!

[She points dramatically at him.] You're a boy!
