[Tis a mingling post. Mingle!  Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

[Following along indeed! And snickering quietly all the way. Even the name they used for her was the same, and how it was said... Surely this boy is related to the Straw Hat chef in some way? That must be the case! They were just far too similar. Almost eerily so. And perhaps it's that crazy similarity that begs the question to be asks.]

...And this? [She points to it.] What did you do to injure yourself? You don't seem the type to be a fighter.

Hmm, don't I? I'll admit I'm more of a lover than a fighter, but I wouldn't say I'm some shmuck. [He says this with a lazy shrug, but he considers removing a layer of clothing or rolling up a sleeve to show the muscle mass he's build up here that he's so proud of. But alas, he decides not to]

Eeeh? Is that so? I prefer not to fight unless I have to as well, and even then I try not to do too much work to exhaust myself. [Why fight like a gorilla when others can do it for you? Her powers are enough.] I may not look it, and I really don't like to fight, but I'm very strong! Horohorohoro! People underestimate me, but they soon regret it!

[Pfft, oh that was terrible. Terrible and bad and yet Perona still chuckles quietly. This one certainly was a character... Not bad, though, since he's doing what she asked. Supervising, Perona snatches a few morsels for herself straight from the displays, putting them to her lips. They looked too yummy to ignore and to wait for.]

I don't think that'd be the first thing to worry about, Kida-kun. Thank you for getting me my things, not many people do such nice things for me here - it's so sad!

[Kida, I certainly do hope you know how bad that sounded, because Perona certainly does. And she's reached the limit of how much she can pretend to flirt with someone. Sure, he's a nice guy, getting her stuff even with a broken arm, but he's a little too eccentric for her tastes. She already has one eccentric lovebird willing and able to throw himself at her feet and Perona's not sure she can handle a second. The first gives her enough of a headache sometimes already.]

Well, people find I'm rather hard to please... It tends to make most people a bit negative. [And as she says that word, one of her hollow ghosts, who'd been floating around the area, suddenly pokes its head from one of the dishes of food, sticking out its tongue and blowing a raspberry at Kida.]

[He recoils at that. It's an interesting reaction, because when she's shocked it's not fanfare. Rather, all his muscles tense up and his eyes go wide. He doesn't quite drop the items he picked up for her in his good arm, but he does crouch some to be ready to kick if necessary. But this all happens very quickly]

[But then he smiles, widely. The tension has not left his body at all, not really, but his shoulders go slack and it looks like he's relaxed to anyone not watching what's going on with his lower body]
