Who: Anyone attending Nami's birthday party. /o/
What: ...Nami's birthday party. 8|
When: Evening on the 4th July.
Where: The mikan orchard.
Summary: An impromptu last minute stubborn celebration of something that's fun.

[Tis a mingling post. Mingle! Seriously. The orchard's lit up, there is alcohol, there are snacks, there are mikan. There's also piles of coloured paper for much later, but that's another story.

Something like it... That, and the free time. I train a lot, but... Learning new things has turned too important to me. I want to know more.

[She takes more bites. It is the reason she learned not only martial arts -Kippin and Eferin's gifts, along with swordfighting-, but even the peaceful ones as well.]

Maybe gardening.

What kind of gardening? Flowers? Trees?

Flowers... There's one back home I'd like to recreate in here, if I can.

To be honest with you... I've only done a little. I don't think I know as much about gardening.

[Flower-arranging, at least, is somewhat covered.]

Most of my skill is in orchard farming. Though you could always ask someone like Katara or Raine for pointers. They've got some lovely gardens. [Pondering.] Faeren helps, too.

Really? They do? [Katara, it makes sense with her control over water. Raine, it might be of a lot of help.] I haven't got in contact with Faeren, but I want to... I've just been told she's one of the harder to reach.

Hmm... if you want, I could help you with that. I managed to contact her through the orchard. [She glances down at the grass beneath their feet.] A lot of love and nurture goes into these trees. I think she was attracted to it.

[Daisy turns to Nami for a moment, trying to study her sight and body language regarding this location.

She remembers Bellemere. She imagines this must have been part of Nami's own childhood... just as well as the gardens the blond girl wanted to make were part of her own.

The taller girl knees, setting a hand on the grass.]

What feelings are associated with Faeren?

[Freedom, Kippin; Compassion, Nala; Nurturing, Sona; Passion, Eferin.]

Huh? Feelings? [Nami blinks.] I never really thought of it that way. I guess... I had a desire to protect these trees and help them grow, and she reached out to that.

[Her body language is relaxed, and the gaze she's turning on the grass beneath their feet is fond. The orchard is obviously precious.] Maybe Faeren just likes people who feel a connection to nature in that way.

A connection to nature...

[Daisy turns her sight towards the same grass. Then, she leans on her knees, touches the ground as she closes her eyes, and focuses. She keeps the memory of her garden in her mind.]

[Nami hadn't expected Daisy to try right this second-- and yet why not? When she realises what the other woman is doing, she keeps utterly quiet to let her focus.]

[Daisy channels the images of her childhood. Her mother hugging her as they looked at a trio of lilies in front of a wall of flowers and palm trees.

Her hand slowly rises.

She opens her eyes. Nothing moved.]

Can you give me pointers?

[...heh.] I can try. Maybe during a party isn't the best time, though-- all these feet. She's probably far away right now.

[Sadly, it is true. Having formerly been a shy person, herself, she understands Faeren.]

Good point.

[She offers Nami another slice. On the meantime...]

One more for the road. [She accepts cheerfully.] Thanks. Come out here one day during the week. If I'm around, I'll give you a hand.
