I hope so. I figure if it doesn't harm the furniture, then it shouldn't burn through the rug.

Why? Does he have a history of foiling their plans or something? That would do it.

This time around, it's the landscape that's gone weird. Last time, it was just us, in our heads or our bodies.

[Pepper quickly shrugs on the pants once Steve's turned, having to draw a fair portion of the string out to make sure they'll stay in place. It doesn't take her long to get them on and secured, at least.]

Okay, you're safe. [Pepper sits back, wearing clothes that are very oversized, but much more comfortable than her towel had been.]

Depends on how you're affected. Some people haven't had any problems with their doors. [Pepper clearly not being among them.] If you are, though? I can at least tell you the odds are not good. Tony could probably give you an actual number, if you're really curious.

Unnatural doesn't necessarily mean bad. And, who knows? Maybe this is natural, someplace. Maybe there's a world where it always rains up.

[she's so fascinated by the phenomena that she doesn't immediately notice what's happening to the rain as it touches her companion's palm, but she hesitates when she glances back at her and something seems...off.

When she actually notices the way the water stays with her, though, she only makes a small sound of surprise...curious, though not at all afraid] Oh!

It feels like rain, but rain does not have the magic to fly. It is just water and can only fall, not climb.

There was a draft on the moon recently, so we know that there is an inhabitable facility up there. But...yeah, that definitely wouldn't be fun.

So far all of the jumps seem to be other places in the enclosure, for what it's worth.

August 2nd

[Perona looks from the smoldering tree - now adorned with a nice, basketball shaped hollow see what I did there? in its trunk - behind her. Seeing nothing there, she looks left, then right, and finally up. Oh, there was the voice! And it's a...mermaid. Flying mermaid. H u h. Well, it isn't the strangest thing Perona's seen this week, so--]

It was saying stupid things! ...So I taught it a lesson.

[That one, maybe, but there are others saying some pretty bad rumors about the girl in question, though in much quieter voices.]

Well, based on the few times I've gone through a door? The odds aren't good. And I always end up losing my shirt on the other side.

[He sighs. With the way things are going, it would probably be easier for him to stay in the apartment until things go back to normal.]

Well lets hope so. The last thing I want to do is up end lost in the woods miles from town. Although, there wouldn't be any doors out there at least.

I'll have to have another look at the missions. I didn't really bother with them because, in all honesty, I can't think of anything I want aside from to leave Luceti.
