[She casually let's go of his hand to look around.]

I never knew trees could get so big.

[avaricious]

Neither did I. But it seems it's not the only one.

[With his hand free, he gestures at the other trees. All equally as large.]

[oftheyin]

Would you like to see how far out these go? [Smirking. Cause it's a race!]

[avaricious]

[Well, well. She's taking this differently than he anticipated. He smirks in turn.]

Another race?

[oftheyin]

It's an easy way for us to explore this area. [And fun.]

[avaricious]

Just try and keep up, if you can. [He prepares to move.]

[oftheyin]

I'll see you at the end.

[And she's off. Racing is easier. She doesn't have to be so close to Ling.]

[avaricious]

[Off he goes, leaping from branch to branch, swinging from leaves about the same size as he is, to land on another branch. He's doing quite well, in fact. Not that there seems to be any end to these trees.]

[And Ran Fan will take her own path. Even though she's running fast, she's able to pick up a few things here. These trees were actually amazing.]

[avaricious]

[Ling continues on his own merry way. At least until his path is suddenly stopped by a squirrel the size of a bear, which nearly mows him over as it carries on its merry way, only stopping for a moment to regard him curiously and say: "Excuse me, good sir, but I'm late for supper."

Ling, dangling from a twig, looks bewildered.]

[Too bad she keeps going for a little, but when she figures out he's no where around, she quickly stops and turns to find him.

It takes a minute, but she finds Ling. And once she does, she reaches down to help him back up.]

Ling!

[avaricious]

[It wasn't so much he needed the help, he was just surprised. But he accepts the help anyway until he's sitting on the branch.]

Did you see that?

[oftheyin]

See what? [Nope. She missed it. But she's taking a seat next to him.]

[avaricious]

That squirrel. It knocked me over.

[oftheyin]

[Get the most confused look ever.]

What? [But they're so small, and you're so... not small.]

[avaricious]

It was very rude about it too. [Squirrels are jerks, Ran Fan. JERKS.]

[oftheyin]

Did you want me to go find it? [Bring it back and force it to apologize! Those jerkfaces!]

I think that would be the best. You can explain how rude it was. But I don't think you need to resort to violence.

[She gets up.]

Then I will return shortly. [She's really getting ready to head out to find it.]

[avaricious]

[He'll sit here and wait. He figures that a squirrel, even bear sized, isn't much of a thread to her.]

[After about 20 minutes, she returns.]

That was a... very large... squirrel.

[avaricious]

[Oh wow, she looks shaken. Ling perks up a bit, looking concerned.]

It didn't try to hurt you, did it?

[oftheyin]

Um, no. It was annoyed that I stopped it, but it apologizes.

What is going on here?

[avaricious]

[Oh. Well. Not so bad for a squirrel, then.]

Well, the obvious explanation is that we're much smaller now. Smaller than a squirrel, anyway.
