Player Event - Chaos Plot
Who: Helios and pretty much everyone who replied to this post
What: The demon god Apep which affixed itself to Helios’ soul has awoken.
When: August 6th-9th
Where: Starting around house 44 then mainly around town and the woods
Summary: Basically Helios gets possessed and causes all sorts of chaos and destruction that the evil god, Apep, is known for causing!
Rating: R for lots of violence
[ It’s strange how the twist of events of a simple evening walk could change much of everything. In an instant, that was Luceti’s way of things, changing things in an instant. And Helios never even saw it coming. There were still parts of that night and parts of his soul that he never truly understood. But there were always ways of finding out. They say hands on experience is one of the best ways of learning. And this is a lesson he and several others won't soon forget. ]
((ooc; Okay plot is a go! If anyone doesn’t have an out for their character to be saved please PM me or contact me on plurk at pathogenic~ Otherwise have fun!))

Fortunately, she does have enough sense to not get her ribs broken. She sees his foot coming up, and as such, she does indeed roll out of the way and onto her knees. She quickly forces herself up with a cringe, her frown deepening. ]
I care not about what you do to me, brother, but leave everyone else alone!

Sacrificing yourself for the good of mankind… [His brow knits in an imitation of sorrow and he presses a hand to his chest, so moved by her resolve.] A touching gesture, sister. Hm.
[Lifting a slender finger to his chin, he muses aloud:] Shall I kill you...? Or destroy the others?
[His smile returns after a beat, thin and patient and cruel.]
…I believe I shall do both.
[Such a light, pleasant tone that sharply contrasts the viciousness with which his hand shoots out to snatch hold of her by the throat. Would she move, or accept her fate?] Beginning with you, miserable worm that you are!

[And then he snaps.]
Julia!
[He pushes himself, sprinting in their direction as fast as he could, bringing out his Thunder tome. Stopping just a few feet away, he pushes a hand forward, calling a bolt of lightning from above the Devil Forgemaster. The spell is quick, hopefully enough to stun him briefly, but mild enough to avoid serious damage (and to avoid hurting Julia).]
*WARNING* for Isaac's thoughts of violence/torture in the last paragraph.
His head's hazy, thousands of nerve endings tingling and twitching in the spell's aftermath.
But this - this is nothing compared to the likes of the pain he is ruthlessly determined to inflict. No horrors his imaginative mind can conjure up are too gruesome, he thinks, with a feral sense of satisfaction. He knows already how he'd like it to begin: splintering every bone like kindling, from the littlest to the longer ones in the legs. One by one. And he knows how he'd like it to end: watching Saleh squirm, alive against all laws of logic, before thrusting him into a higher realm of agony that shouldn't exist. Oh, how the sight and the sound would please Lord Apep; and how it would please himself, just a little more. With a wry grin, the Forgemaster unsheathes his trident and stands at the ready while Crimson circles like a vulture overhead.
Let Saleh be the first to transcend the limits of human suffering.]
Re: *WARNING* for Isaac's thoughts of violence/torture in the last paragraph.
Unfortunately, between the slight current from that attack and Isaac's sudden tightened grip, she'd be nice and bruised for a while. Her neck, at least -- and then she's dropped. She pants, taking deep, full breaths as she quickly looks back up at Isaac, and then back at Saleh.
Her voice is hoarse when she calls out to Saleh. ] Please be careful, Isaac is not himself at all!

Isaac...? What's happened to you?
[As much as he wants to check on Julia's well-being and heal her wounds, he's certain that Isaac won't let him. That look in his eyes suggests he's about to attack, and so Saleh grips his staff and steels himself.]

Shut up!!
[He snaps to no one in particular, breathing and breathing and steadily composing himself. It's an expression heard from someone else and one which would leave a stronger impression than anything else that had came to mind.
A laugh bubbles from him after a moment.]
What happened to me? [Cool, merciless teasing.] Oh, I would be far more concerned with what shall happen to you before I have finished--!!
[Diving, Crimson launches sharpened shards of bone in Saleh’s direction – and Isaac charges to meet him, looking to sever his spine with a broad sweep of the trident.]

[Switching tomes, he brings out his Divine tome. Like last time, taking out Isaac's follower first would be the better and easier move. So the sage gathers up a ball of yellow magic and hurls it at Crimson, the ball leaving a fading trail of light behind it like a comet.]

Growling under his breath, teeth gritted, the Forgemaster whirls around, lifting a hand from his spear as he pivots to flick a winding streamer of fire in the direction of Saleh’s tome.]

[He snaps his head back in Isaac's direction. He can't let Isaac win, not this time. Not when both Saleh and Julia's lives were at stake. His stands and casts his Divine spell once more. Except this time, the ball of light rises vertically in front of Saleh, and then drops towards Isaac from above.]

The dragon’s quick to act in his master's stead. Its landing had been clumsy at best, and in its state, there is no chance of it taking flight until it has recovered outside this battle. Still, the creature is not without its uses. Smoke coils from its nostrils as it musters the will to spew fire yet again - but this time, in steady stream that sweeps from side to side in an effort to burn Saleh and Julia in turn.]

On on his feet and undeterred, Isaac dismisses the creature for a well-deserved rest, fighting to shake off his daze long enough to bring his thoughts to sharp focus. Another devil will summoned in its stead, this one more agile and ferocious... and familiar, no doubt.]

She didn't want to have to do this, but... ]
...Saleh, his weakness is ice. If you know any ice spells... use them. They will, at the very least, slow him down.
[ She looks guilty... and she fixes Isaac with an apologetic look. 'Forgive me, brother...' ]

Ice...?
[Fortunately, he has acquired an ice spell some time ago, and he brings it out, somewhat reluctantly. Fimbulvetr, the most powerful of the anima-based spells, save for the sacred Excalibur. He casts the spell, thrusting out a palm towards Isaac. A twister of blistering cold wind and snow forms in between the fighters and moves towards the Devil Forgemaster.]

It’s the chilling blast slams against his body, knocking him off course and nearly clean off his feet. Staggering, he recovers his footing in time to be caught again by the blustering winds unleashed. Clenching his teeth, the Forgemaster ducks his head with his arms crossed in front of him in rudimentary defense, his fiery red hair wildly blown about.
There’s little more than he can do for the moment but to rely on Abel, its arrival marked by a glimmer of light in the air and the dramatic unfurling of its feathered wings.]
Kill! [He hisses, the verbal command unneeded. Primed to strike, the devil plunges into a portal that opens in the ground, a line of sputtering flames trailing it as it seeks Saleh from below. And as it draws near, it readies itself to spawn a powerful explosion beneath his feet.]
no subject
Using the opportunity, Julia pushes herself back to her feet quickly glancing from Isaac and over to Abel; unfortunately, however, it's too late before Julia can act. Isaac's already given the command, much to her horror. ]
Saleh, please be careful!
[ Looking back over at Isaac, her hands ball into fists again. She feels a little more than useless at this point, and this is a feeling she most certainly detests. They can slow Isaac down all they want, but in the grand scheme of things, it isn't FIXING anything or making him normal. ]
