Who: Pepper Potts and her Super Secret Boyband AKA Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Billy Kaplan, and Teddy Altman. Also anyone who wanders by and wants to comment?
What: Building an art gallery
When: August 11 thru whenever they finish. No later than the 16th.
Where: The open space to the left of CH 4/across from House 39
Summary: So Pepper suckered some people into manual labor. These are the results.
Rating: PG-13, maybe, if someone hits their thumb with a hammer and says bad things.

[She can't hide it; Pepper is ecstatic to take this major step in the art gallery project. The construction marks the point where the idea shifts into reality, and this time? She's responsible for much more than 12% of the baby.

Of course, the good cheer will probably turn into frustration as the building goes on, but what can she do? Other than try to supervise. And yes, Tony, that is Pepper's job, so no attempting to use it as an excuse to slack off. Also part of Pepper's job is providing drinks and food for everyone involved, and making sure there are no major injuries, so expect refreshments and first aid kits on site. And when she's not tending to anyone else's needs or watching Steve and Tony at work for reasons, Pepper might even jump into the fray, attempting a bit of building herself--success remaining to be seen.]

[Though she's not at all sure it will all get done today. Not to mention that it might be better for the frame to sit out and dry for a spell, since they were using new, wet wood.]

[She can't really imagine Tony not being in charge of this construction.]

[Pepper nods in agreement about the trees, then promptly drops the subject. It's not a happy memory. She grins a bit when Rogue approves of the plans, and when she asks about the person in charge.]

You might. It's me so far as keeping everyone on task goes. [Including Tony.] Although I'm definitely not the construction expert on site, so I'm open to advice.

An' does that make you the one decidin' what gets done first?

[Because keeping people on task is one thing, but actually directing construction is something different.]

[Relax Rogue. Pepper is serious when she says she's listening to suggestions. Which is why she picks up a clipboard with a detailed list of what things to do in what order.]

That makes me the one with the list. [She'll offer it to Rogue with a grin.] And the one who went over all the plans with her genius boyfriend.

Ah. [Rogue flashes a quick grin at Pepper.] Good.

[She takes the list anyway.]

Not that I can compete with your genius engineer boyfriend, but does he have much experience in buildin' things that aren't completely run by computers?

[Because. Don't get her started.]

[The question is a little surprising--but then again, Rogue may not have been sent to their world when Tony had been building Stark Tower.]

Technically, no. But he did plan and build one of the tallest towers in Manhattan before he installed the AI, so I think it still counts.

Well, that's good ta hear.

[She scanned over the list.]

I can get started on building up the frames. I'll get Logan to cut the boards.

Sounds good to me. Steve and Teddy both have superstrength, so feel free to talk to one of them if you need any heavy lifting done. [She'll turn and point to a nearby cooler as well.] And if you need to take a break, there's water and snacks over there. Help yourself to anything you'd like.

And seriously, thank you again. I really can't tell you how much this means to me.

[Rogue waves off Pepper's thanks, choosing to grin instead.]

You mean you're givin' me permission ta boss two good-lookin' blondes around? I reckon I could live with that.
