Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!

I went ahead and walked on past him toward the house, not letting the limp show. It was cool. I'd stomached worse pain than this.

I'm doing fine, Harry. Been better, but I've also been much worse. Holing up here with Law has helped a lot--it's just a matter of waiting for Luke now.

I wonder what the catalyst was. I know it wasn't Helios' doing, but I somehow doubt the Malnosso were involved.

He... did say something strange, now that I think of it. But I don't remember... what it was exactly.

[Is it possible to feel horrible and yet be strangely happy? Because Sabriel's got a whole mash up of conflicting emotions right now, not to mention a little surprise at how gentle the hug was despite it being so sudden.]

[Were she her usual self she would have taken issue with being called 'kid' but...right now it seems appropriate. Failure is not generally so lenient in her world...and yes, her current injuries are kind compared to what she would face in the Old Kingdom but it would be best not to argue the point. Luceti was not the Old Kingdom, for better or worse, and Sabriel had best get used to that fact real quick.

Glancing up she gives him a small, grateful nod, her expression pensive and still full of regret but there's a hint of determination.]

I can't keep relying on my Free magic here, not without the Charter to balance it. I'm not going to risk letting this happen to me again.

No... not really. He implied that he had a connection to Helios, and that he had been sealed away for a long time, but... this goes into territory that I'm not familiar with, I'm afraid.

[Sabriel has been getting settled back into House 44 after recovering in the clinic. First and foremost her sword is cleaned and hidden away with her bells and she changes into a clean and un-tattered set of clothing. She had spoken with Adele, Harry, Rei, even Luke and Saori...and they have helped her come to cope with what had happened. Whatever guilt had fallen onto Sabriel's shoulders would have hit Helios even more so.

It's during one of the bouts of when Helios has hidden himself away in his room that Sabriel decides to make a move. She assembles a small tray of tea, prepared the way she remembers Helios favouring, along with some cake from Grune and some other biscuits and things...even a couple of marshmallows for Luminair. Carrying them carefully up the stairs she gives his door a soft knock.]

...Helios? I brought you some tea.

[She feels rather the opposite of hot right now, hence the extra layers. But it does make her smile.] 'Normal', hm? I like the sound of that. Nothing new?

Not that I've seen. [A pause, and then with a guilty slant to his voice] ... Not that I've been attention lately.

[Another pause. Eventually he drifts closer to the bed, hands sliding into his pockets] We lost a few workers at Seventh Heaven, so I don't see a lot of sunlight.

In exchange, though, I think it would be good to teach you how to use Shinto ritual. I can teach you how to make ofuda scrolls, and to purify.

Right, Possession and Sealing aren't really my forte, either.

I understand that he was sealed again though, by some manner of god. So, hopefully thats the last we'll see of him.

I hope so. [It's not the first time she's ended up on the wrong side of witnessing a friend or acquaintance being possessed by something out of their control.] I don't know how many others became involved, but... he must be wracked with guilt, as it is.

Not physically, no. I'm more than capable of defending myself, Sabriel, and my kind are notoriously resilient.

I...used most of my energy to seal Apep though, which is going to be hard to recover until I manage my anchoring ritual.
