Summary: Apep, an Egyptian god of Chaos, possessed Helios and wrecked havoc. Those involved are going to have to cope with their injuries, mental traumas, and newfound night terrors!
Rating: R, for possible trigger warnings for descriptions of violence and bad language.

[It's easy enough to begin formulating an apology or excuse for Lupin's behavior- but that offer. Lupin telling someone to keep an eye on her? Stops her mid word. She's uncertain how to respond for a moment when it finally registers. The description, at least, that she's been given.]

[For once, Grune isn't going to let him go--not just yet. If anything, she's going to hold him closer. Her voice is so soft and gentle as she says:] You don't need to say sorry. It's not your fault.

When you make a mistake you have options; do you ignore the consequences and ensure a repeat of the mistake will happen again? Or do you learn from it so it will never reoccur?

There are many shades of grey between those points but do you understand what I mean when I say your reactions are important? The mistake is the spark, the push to make you decide what kind of person you want to be.

[Helios, you really need to have a good meal and a good nights sleep.]

It may be a part of you but it isn't you. You have to accept that it happened and move on.

... well. I do appreciate it, Sheena. [A faint smile, while she tries to get comfortable.]

... Please. [Warmth is one of those things that isn't on her side right now.]

You-you learn f-from it. [ His voice is small and tired. His shoulders sag as if under an incredible weight. ] I-I do understand that.

[ He really does need a good nights sleep. But he can't sleep, not now. Not after everything that's happened. He just...can't. ]

I'm t-trying to-to do that. [ And trying to figure out what to do with himself in the process. It's so very easy to lock himself away and just...never bother anyone again. But he has the responsibility to try and make things better. He has to try and make things better because this was like Halloween all over again, only worse. ]

[ Oh Grune so many people have been saying that. Helios is almost starting to believe it. But what happened in the past was his fault and this was just another reminder of the fact. Helios will fight back another sob, his body shaking slightly from the effort. He's so tired and in pain and guilty over everything.

He just wants to run away and never have to deal with anything ever again. But he knows that he can't do that. He shouldn't do that because there are people who need help more than he does. ] It-it my fault. It's all my f-fault a-and I am s-sorry.

[corrinesbell]

Okay. Be right back.

[Because there are no spare blankets in this room. So she'll go out to the hall and find one or two.]

[Raine nods, and turns back on her side to try and curl up more comfortably under the blanket she has while she waits for Sheena to return. It's taken a lot of effort to keep up the conversation, so she's fine with a few quiet moments for herself, as she tries to think. Really, waking up the first day was the harder part--putting pieces together and making realizations had taken their time. In some ways, it was frightening, but perhaps not in the ways she would admit to herself.]

[If Sabriel were more comfortable with the idea of using her Free magic she'd offer to use Ranna to give him a proper night's sleep.]

Seeing you helps. Being able to talk with you and just...share what happened is good, even though it's hard. [She gives him a small smile.]

If you keep yourself locked away, nothing changes.

[ He bites his lip and nods in agreement. It wouldn't change anything, he knows that. After Elise died he was just as ready and eager to hide away and wither away. He was so ready to give up his own life that he almost forgot the dream she and he had. Her death would have been in vain if had given up, so he couldn't do that. He couldn't let Apep win, not then, and certainly not now. He wouldn't...he couldn't let that happen. ]

I-I want to h-help you if, if you'll let me. With-with anything you need. [ He has to do that much at least for her and everyone else he dragged into this mess. ]

[corrinesbell]

[The ninja returns with not one but two spare blankets, opening one to spread over Raine completely and leaving the other folded in half just over her feet.]

Anything else?

Not that I can think of right now. [Maybe later she'll think to ask for some fresh clothing, or a book, but she doesn't want too much brought to the clinic. Only enough for immediate comfort and possible boredom alleviating.] Thank you again.

[She shakes her head.]

Oh, that's all right. I can make another cake to eat a little later. This one is for everyone else.

[Rei shrugs and takes the cake from Grune before she can forget. Its some manner of chocolate she thinks]

Well, thank you Grune-san.

If you say thank you one more time I'm gonna cover your face with a blanket. It's not a big deal and you'd do the same stuff for me. You'd just frown a lot more with that worry look.

Now go back to sleep, you can't even keep your eyes open.

Haha. I suppose you have me there. [But there's a faint apologetic smile before she finally lets her eyes close properly.]

[Still running her fingertips over Luminair's stomach she gives the man a small smile.]

If anything comes up, I'll be sure to let you know.

[Gently, she smooths down his hair with the hand at the back of his head. It's a simple, repetitive motion that she hopes will calm him, even just a little.]

It's not your fault. You would never, ever want to hurt anyone. And it wasn't you who did those mean things, so you don't need to say you're sorry. It's all right.

[he offers a small laugh, looking somewhat sheepish] I know, Raine-chan. But you've got so much on your plate with the school as it is.

[wise_maiden]

The school, and the flower shop as well. [A thoughtful pause, a soft sigh.] Honestly, I suppose I'm the one who needs to start advertising for more help.

[ Luminair is a very happy dragon, as his purrs and happy little chirps convey that much. He'll roll back onto his stomach and give Sabriel's hands a happy lick or too. Happy baby dragon is happy! His tail wags are clue enough to that too. ] Alright. Th-thank you. A-And do take care of yourself, S-Sabriel.

Well, you know what happens when people start getting sent home. Soon something that started out as part time takes up a lot of the time, and... well, it's good that school has been out for the summer.
