Event Log -- A Kin'coran Play-date

Who: Luceti vs. Kin’cora, preliminary social bout.
What: Luceti has been voluntold that they must host Kin’coran survivors of a Cultist invasion.
When: Kin’cora refugees will start arriving at the southern barrier around 12PM.
Where: Luceti, duh. All of it.
Summary: Can you still call it a humanitarian effort if not all of us are humans?
Rating: G to PG, folks. Take anything else to your appointments.

As described here. Couple things to keep in mind, folks!

Although the Kin’corans will arrive around noon, it’s a 30 mile trek from the southern barrier to the village. They do have some horses and carts but it will be a slow trickle into town, not a sudden flood.

Have fun with your NPCs. Remember -- if from a canon, they should be minor, off-screen characters. No one appable! If you have any doubts please err on the side of asking us.

Included below are some conversational snippets your characters can hear from various Kin’coran refugees. Additionally, your characters may be able to talk parts or all of a timeline for the Kin'coran enclosure out of the refugees. Use these instead of NPCs or in addition to them -- it’s up to you! Also remember to tag your [canon] character name to the log!

[ Helios will take the offered books with a shaky smile. He shakes his head and gives his own tired sigh. He looks a bit worn out, and not his usual cheerful self. ] N-No need to thank me. I-I wish our visitors would be, ah, m-more mindful of where they're going.

[ Another sigh as he looks around at the bustling people, all with glares on their faces. ]

[Finlaan, as I named the Luxan, actually nods at this and then tilts her head at Hiroi. Get in loser, let's go collect these things so she can see her boyfriend. The Hyuuga guy Mashiro as I just named him she doesn't like dealing with the Luceti people all that much, but she had her oath to answer to.

Masaomi, for his part, smiles. Sweet. Hiroi's weird voice was making him uncomfortable. And Filaan with her tentacle-hair things and stuff actually... are unsettling. Particularly with the boobs.

Weird.

Being Tony Stark's personal assistant probably has helped with that quite a bit. But honestly, I'm mostly doing what I've been told to do. Major Sharpe has been a godsend.

Sure. [Pepper nods, and smiles when the Major seems to accept her answer.] What about you? Do you need anything?

I imagine having you with him has helped.

[Because it's clear how much Billy loves Teddy, even in the small way they touch. That sort of support can mean everything.

She nods--honestly, hearing Teddy's from two alien races lacks impact at this point--and frowns when Billy talks about the pressures on Teddy because of his heritage.]

I don't doubt it. And let me guess--all he wants is to be a typical teenager? Or as close to it as a superhero can get.

[Sure thing! He's got this! So he'll just go ahead and lead/point out the way to the clinic, watching Luke carefully to make sure he's walking alright and all.]

H-huh...?! [Oh. Had the journal-- yep, she had dropped it. It was picking up everything she was saying, wasn't it? Maron will grab her journal and try to speak in a more laid-back tone of voice:] Eeh, n-nothing, nothing! I just... thought I had candles. I can't seem to find them.

[There's at least five, six people here near as he can tell from this angle. At a glance, assuming their super powers aren't so great they still exist at 10%, he thinks he can take two.

That lizardman is the problem. And this old guy if the lizard listens to him.

But visibly, he just rolls his eyes, sighing]

Man, you're into the cliche lines things, aren't you, grave voice and everything?

[And now the Hyuuga speaks up. Mashiro is his name, and he coughs-] Actually, me and this kid've got it.

We do-?

[Masaomi answers that, perplexed a moment before his weird pupilless eyes narrow and he nods]

That is to say, we do!

[Emil's been keeping his journal open just in case Yuri or someone else calls for him, only partially paying attention to the voices that come over it. But when he hears an obviously distressed female voice, he can't help but want to check on the speaker, just to make sure that everything is okay.]

Hey, um, are you all right? Where are you?

Huh- ? No, not really. [POSSIBLY. I AM NOT SURE IF HE GETS HURT IN THE KORRAS THREAD SO IF SHE SERIOUSLY CHECKS WE MIGHT NEED TO PAUSE. He at least has no external injuries other than about six bandages on various parts of him. A lot of them are old though] I just wanted to see how you were doing.

[It's on the 27th that Emil happens to be making his way to Seventh Heaven for his stint as a temporary cook that he spots Asch and waves... then remembers that the other boy can't see him when he does that. Okay, let's try a different approach.]

Hey Asch-- where are you going?

['Sup Luke, guess who else is helping out in Seventh Heaven? Emil's mostly been keeping to the kitchen, but when there's a spare moment he'll slip out to help serve food as well-- whatever he can do to help. It's on one of these trips that he spots Luke and waves to his friend.]

Hey Luke-- I didn't realize you were helping out here too.

Been trying! I think I got the hang of it, but... [...He was asking for a performance review. It would suck to have his be the one going undone]

[He'll find some way to repay them both for the help - Hiroi already has the kunai, but there's probably some extra food they can pass over to Finlaan.

Shikamaru takes his pack over his shoulder and jumps over to the next tree.]

[Normally, he'd ask after Sharpe next, but that kicks a gear into moving in his head.]

[That's... definitely a Turtlez. Okay, so it stands to reason that there would be at least one of them here in one of the enclosures, but still, it comes as a bit of a surprise to Richard.

... and it's trying to make a deal with Sophie. Oh dear. This may call for an intervention.]

[Offhandedly. Let's not piss the guy off just yet. At 10%, standing next to this fire is the best place Shikamaru could be.]

I was thinking of a better approach. Your way, all I could promise is myself and this guy. We'd maybe make a dent. [He shakes his head.] No. If you're that hellbent against taking down the Malnosso, you can't rely on strength alone. You need time, and information - which I have.

[Shikamaru's focus remains on Korras, but he's equally invested in the reactions of his group. Facial expressions, movement. This is his close circle, after all. If Korras is a smart man, he's been gathering information through them.]

[With the mask obscuring most of his face, it's hard to read Steve's expression. But his brows are furrowed in confusion and he...can't really answer that.]
