Event Log -- A Kin'coran Play-date

Who: Luceti vs. Kin’cora, preliminary social bout.
What: Luceti has been voluntold that they must host Kin’coran survivors of a Cultist invasion.
When: Kin’cora refugees will start arriving at the southern barrier around 12PM.
Where: Luceti, duh. All of it.
Summary: Can you still call it a humanitarian effort if not all of us are humans?
Rating: G to PG, folks. Take anything else to your appointments.

As described here. Couple things to keep in mind, folks!

Although the Kin’corans will arrive around noon, it’s a 30 mile trek from the southern barrier to the village. They do have some horses and carts but it will be a slow trickle into town, not a sudden flood.

Have fun with your NPCs. Remember -- if from a canon, they should be minor, off-screen characters. No one appable! If you have any doubts please err on the side of asking us.

Included below are some conversational snippets your characters can hear from various Kin’coran refugees. Additionally, your characters may be able to talk parts or all of a timeline for the Kin'coran enclosure out of the refugees. Use these instead of NPCs or in addition to them -- it’s up to you! Also remember to tag your [canon] character name to the log!

[All thats left is a lone Skrull warrior, the Kree have all taken off, scattered by the appearance of the two interfering humans. They know better, and are more than a little surprised the duo. This Skrull...however.]

Blast you! I'll stomp you!

[And he charges right at Susan, swinging wildly. She meets him head on, surrounding her hand with a bubble of force and uppercutting him in the stomach. The alien goes sailing, the milk-glass construct staying with him in the air]

Geez, don't you guys know when you're beat.

[Green returns it, along with an extremely appreciative nod. Thanks, man, he'll definitely remember to return the favor.]

...Phew. That's good, because I'm pretty sure it'd take both of us to lift her. [He nudges Gron'ka, the fallen half work woman, with his foot. She snarls at that, and the Hyuuga ninja, Mashiro, sighs at this]

[Cool. Then he'll just be following... but making inane small talk]

By the way, I don't know if your super-senses picked it up already, but you know that guy Mashiro? [The Hyuuga] I think she's dating him.

[Okay so it might be obvious.

But he's still taken aback by that. okay. She has Tentacles on her head]

[She nods, still smiling.] Yeah. I bet we can cook up a pretty fantastic way to get back at those Mallies. They won't dare mess with us again.

[You know, he has to hand it to you, Susie. For a hero called The Invisible Woman, she sure can knock a few heads. Not that he should be surprised. But still, he's impressed.]

There wouldn't be much of a fight if they did. You okay?

[Good riddance to them all, the unruly bastards - or that's what Sanji would like to think. Truthfully, he's been thinking along those lines ever since they were shipped off by the droids, but the chef does manage to stop short of being completely unreasonable and unfair to the Kin'coran forces. It's not as if he could guarantee the Lucetians would be docile in the event of a temporary relocation.

This isn't to say he can't breathe a little easier now that they're gone, of course. The extra mouths to feed did a number on his supplies, and Sanji is glad for the familiar faces flocking into Seventh Heaven. It feels like he hasn't seen them in days, even if it's only been a couple of hours for most of them.

Most of them. That innocent thought niggles at the back of his mind all throughout the day, following him while he makes his rounds through the village to survey any damage wrought by the droids or their departed visitors. And it keeps following him until Sanji wisely sets himself down by the fountain around mid-afternoon, and flips his journal open. It's just to put his mind at ease; he'll do a quick check up on his friends, note their positions in the village, and then be done with it.

He starts off simple enough: the crew comes first, naturally. Then Xion (not here), the Trigun house (all accounted for save Vash), his Seventh Heaven workers (they're around, good), Miyabi (here), Elicia (here), Katara (here), Raine--

Abruptly, Sanji's thoughts come to a halt on the woman's name - not because she's missing or outside the range his Observation Haki will permit, but he cants his head in the direction of the nearby pizza shop, watching it with bemusement. What on earth is she doing in there? He could've sworn it was abandoned.

The fact alone isn't what propels Sanji quickly off his seat and to the shop's door, though. That would be the very poignant layer of distress that seems to be making up a lot of Raine's spirit.] Raine-chan? [He calls out her name the moment the door is open] Are you in here?

[The main part of the room is a wreck, with a fine layer of dust settling over the overturned tables and chairs where they had been disturbed during the scuffling.

Raine is dimly aware of the sound of the door opening--and then there are words, but she can't tell who it is just yet. But hearing words was promising; there had been other sounds that hadn't responded when she had called out, earlier.

So she tries again, her voice sounding a little worn.]

Ah, okay... [He watches again, taking it as a remedial lesson. There's no shame in it. After all, he's doing his best to help out, but this isn't his field.]

This cut off what she was about to say, which was only to agree with her brother. Alas, Luceti would have to go without that rare show of Watersib solidarity.

"Of course I'm going to help him," there was only a small undercurrent of aggravation at the question. What else had she been doing for the past few days? She opened her medical case and knelt beside him, turning her attention back to Sokka while she started looking for the right antiseptic.

"You should probably go get them before someone else does."

She knew how attached he was to his armory.

It's Sanji! [He raises his voice unconsciously, stepping over jagged pieces of wood and all the while wondering what happened to warrant such a state of disarray to what should be an emptied store. And never mind this still doesn't explain what's wrong with--]

Raine-chan! [His voice hits a new octave when she finally comes into view - tied up and tipped over on the floor like a discarded prisoner.] What happened?!

[He uses the term "cook" lightly. Also, it more like more food than either of them, rather than just her. But he's being unreasonable, what's new?]

The vigilantes look back to see Shikamaru, but he was gone. And being the burly idiots they were, they assumed that he wisened up and left the big boys to do their jobs. And start to head towards Ragna again.

And Ragna, being the idiot he was, only backed up a bit before just grabbing Blood-scythe because someone clearly ditched him.]
