Event Log -- A Kin'coran Play-date

Who: Luceti vs. Kin’cora, preliminary social bout.
What: Luceti has been voluntold that they must host Kin’coran survivors of a Cultist invasion.
When: Kin’cora refugees will start arriving at the southern barrier around 12PM.
Where: Luceti, duh. All of it.
Summary: Can you still call it a humanitarian effort if not all of us are humans?
Rating: G to PG, folks. Take anything else to your appointments.

As described here. Couple things to keep in mind, folks!

Although the Kin’corans will arrive around noon, it’s a 30 mile trek from the southern barrier to the village. They do have some horses and carts but it will be a slow trickle into town, not a sudden flood.

Have fun with your NPCs. Remember -- if from a canon, they should be minor, off-screen characters. No one appable! If you have any doubts please err on the side of asking us.

Included below are some conversational snippets your characters can hear from various Kin’coran refugees. Additionally, your characters may be able to talk parts or all of a timeline for the Kin'coran enclosure out of the refugees. Use these instead of NPCs or in addition to them -- it’s up to you! Also remember to tag your [canon] character name to the log!

I'll walk with you back to your house. [She knows Toph can defend herself, but if Toph's vision is that impaired to the point that she can't tell what direction her house is in, she wants to make sure her friend doesn't run into any trouble.]

[Slowly, the girl in armor lowers her upper body to rest on the floor... and it turns evident why is she not sitting. The floor struggles a little with the half a ton of armor.

Even then, Daisy sighs in relief, telling herself not to fall asleep after closing her eyes.]

Keimi's in Val's house right now, and both her and Neliel are watching over her. If you and Adele need it... I'll gladly be here for you two.

If something goes off... My suit's radar could detect incoming threats. I made an app time ago to detect threats if they watched to catch me napping.

[Saori looks at the straining floor with interest, wondering if she could manage to lift the armor within the barrier at all. She was strong, but that would probably strain her]

Good. Valvalis and Neliel will take good care of her. I needed a doctor, or I would be there myself.

Your suit has radar? That is really impressive.

I do not believe the percentage is that high, but it is high enough to hinder us quite a bit. [She's even been having troubles with Yamato-Takeru] At this point, I must assume they have raised it in order to keep damage and outbursts within the village to a minimal.

Though I do agree, it has become quite of hand. Although this power cap may have been placed to contain and protect the villagers, refugees and the village itself, it has left us weaker and vulnerable.

[Just pulling on the kid would probably be terrible, so instead, Elliot tries to move the refrigerator over, just a little bit. Even if he can't move it very far, it should at least be enough to give the kid some room to slide out.]

Sharpe sighed. Exasperated, almost. He was never good at voicing his feelings and never good at listening to others voice theirs neither. But it wasn't the same, here. You couldn't just go to battle and have each others' backs and solve a conflict that way. And unlike with Harper, Sharpe couldn't just give the man a shove and maybe a cuff 'round the head for his own good. The power dynamics were different.

They were bewildering.

"For Christ's sake, Harry!" He seemed to explode -- indignant and awkward because of the position he now stood in. "I've known and served with completer bastards than you. Heaven help me, I've been one. So shut your trap and just..."

He floundered. "Let it sort itself out. Do your work. Go for a bloody drink with me down the bleeding pub and let it be the end of it. The two of us."

Sharpe was chastising himself as much as he was Dresden, at this point.

[Oh, darn you Pao-Lin, being at it again! The best Mia could do under the circumstances was a plate bearing bread and cheese and an apple; the clinic is dealing with a rations situation too. When she goes unnoticed at first, Mia frowns and comes closer.]

I'm back with something to eat.

You've learned well. [She manages a small smile, when he finishes, watching the healing set in.] I think I'm still a little disoriented, but that's probably to be expected.

"Well try not to be injured for your sake either." Lightly and teasingly, despite the situation.

Like May, Ling was realizing the usual strategy wouldn't work on these guys. They were a combination of strong, fast, and agile. So Ling would have to try and be more agile and fast. He was able to dodge a quick flurry of prods that aimed for his side, head, shoulders, and legs. One last one managed to pierce his shoulder before Ling pulled himself away.

Immediately a red energy crackled in the wound and sealed it up. The older brother was stunned. It worked to Ling's advantage. Ling moved in quickly and delivered a powerful kick, enough to break the spear in two.

Well sure. I use intuition all the time. It's like going with your gut, but backed up by experience and knowledge. So it's different. And decidedly less reckless.

Should I put this plate on the floor, then? [Cheagle etiquette isn't her strong suit. Mieu was fine with standing on tables the few times they met.]

[Rogue's expression takes on a look of studied casualness... for many reasons.]

He's from an Earth. Worked in somethin' called the "Stargate Program."

In the long run, it would be better to just go. Even if this is so embarrassing.]

[Pao-Lin slowly turns her head to look at Mia.]

Oh, th-thanks. Just put it down...over...there...

[Whoops, slumping over onto the generator now. Her powers fade, as she's really too tired to sustain them for any longer without recharging her body a little.]

[Nope. It goes down right where she's standing. That way she can hurry closer and help Pao-Lin away from the generator to sit down. Overexertion looks the same in just about everybody.]

Don't argue with me about this. You're going to take a break.

[Don't worry, Pao-Lin won't do anything sissy like holding your hand or anything. She will stick to Toph closer than usual, though, to better guide her.]

Were you looking for someone, or something? [The more tactful way of saying "why were you out of the house 8|".]

[In the moment that Mia came back, Pao-Lin's mind went from hero to zero -- she's too tired to even protest mentally now. Unfortunately, this also means she's too tired to support herself when Mia comes over to drag her to a place to properly rest. She'll try her best to take a little strain off Mia, but any such attempts may backfire and result in overbalancing.]

[Fortunately for both of them, Mia takes a quick step to correct Pao-Lin's overbalancing, standing still and holding her up in case she finds the strength to support herself again. When it becomes evident that she will not, Mia considers helping her to the floor right there. In compromise she heads for the nearest wall instead. Pao-Lin is pretty slight; she can hold her up for a few steps.]

It's all right, just sit down. [Mia's sitting with her, to give her something more than the unforgiving wall to lean on.]

[Being stuck inside, unable to see, for days on end...yeah, really sucks.]
