Assistance is needed immediately at the farms to the northwest of the village. We have hostiles and--

[The oddly cool, clipped tone that the message was given suddenly breaks off into a heated bark.] Putain de merde!

[There's a rustle of pages and the sound of bodies colliding, followed more swearing in French.

The feed cuts out.

Hurry, Luceti.]

[Robin is heading toward the farm though she isn't entirely sure the exact location or even how much help she will be. Her abilities aren't even what they usually are in Luceti and this is worrying. But still she's going to do what she can]

[Syre's immediate reaction to the message is one of confusion; she doesn't know the sender of the message, and is reluctant to trust it.]

[...but, in spite of that, she straps her rapier to her hip and heads out, dashing the whole while.]

Dammit! So much for a peaceful transition! I'm coming!

[And with that, Adell takes off for the farm immediately. He's slowed by the power cap, but still faster than a normal human.

He'll make it to the farm in a few minutes to help fight off whatever's threatening things... and if he can find Lupin, and make sure he's okay.]

[Steve hears the message right after he finishes breaking up yet another fight between some Kin'corians. As soon as he's sure the issue is resolved-at least for now-he makes his way to the farm at a dead run.

For anyone else it would have been too far a distance to run without a break, but for him it only left him slightly out of breath.]

[Still Fujiko is running, PPKs on her holsters and Browning ready for action. She's seriously had enough of people messing with Lupin. Don't they realize he's hers to mess with? And with everything else of hers messed with lately, she's really done.]

[He'll find the thief backed up against a pile of fallen trees that had accrued during the storm back in June. They had been shoved aside to make room for new growth and planting, but they had yet to find a proper home. Lupin's chest rises and falls rapidly, and the gun in his hand wavers with the stress and exertion. He was clearly in no condition to fight--one of his arms was still in a sling from a recent injury, and it was clear by his stance that he was using his off-hand.

But he smiled. Despite the circumstances, smiling was all that he could do. He refused to show weakness despite it being boldly obvious.

This was no time to appear weak.]

[Even though her suit's limiters had to be risen even higher than normal not to even risk the strength of her bones, some of the refugees confused her for a droid... Which made for a two-bladed sword. On one hand, it made some of them think the Lucetians were in league with the Malnosso, and could not be trusted.

SPARTAN-023 stabs the tip of her blade on the dirt. The figure stands as still as a statue in front of the mob.

On the other, that it was a droid, and one that, judging by the claymore it held, that lacked the restraint to kill of the other models.

She spots Adell. But her head does not move.]

[If there were any thugs advancing on Lupin, they're met with a demon rushing in headlong with his fist, sending them flying several yards. Adell turns when he sees Lupin... definitely hurt, definitely not in a good way, but still bold and looking fearless.]

Sorry it took me so long.

[He turns back to his knocked down foe.]

Stay down if you don't want your ass beaten down. I told you to play nice when you got here!

[Lupin sighed and holstered his gun--for now. Odds were high that he would need it again, but a break was more than welcome.]

You were faster that I thought! Adell, right? [He paid attention to the journals and did his homework in his quest to make use of his recent downtime.]

...Did you think they would listen for long? They just got out of a war. [One that could be coming for them next.] I'm surprised it took them this long to get out here.

[Adell walks up closer to the SPARTAN and stands next to her. He gives Daisy a brief nod coupled with a glance before he looks at the individuals she was staring down. Time to try to do this the peaceful way.]

All right. I know there's a lot of tension right now, and nerves are running high. You should remember me. Adell, of the Blue Rogues.

But you don't want to do this. We can all work together and make it through this time peacefully. Just disperse and return to the village, and we'll ensure everyone gets their fair share of food during this time of crisis. I promise you that.

But if you're going to insist on trying to fight and steal from us...

My second-in-command here and I will disperse you. Personally.

[He nods.]

Yeah, that's right.

...Considering we're all in the same boat, I was hoping for a little civility. But I guess there's bad eggs in every bunch.

[Roaring and rushing, Rin makes his way to the farms, which he knows because of Applejack. It's a good hour's walk, and without his demon form he can't get there as quick as he normally would, but he's still five times or so as strong as a normal person. What's more, he's pissed. He's been breaking up fights and working everything to try to keep things peaceful and-

As a result blue flames are around his head and shoulders for the first time this event.

He's not here to fight though. He's here to stop the fighting. Be it tackling KCs, urging KCs to hit him,trying to scold them, and if he sees any Lucetians using lethal force, stopping them because wow this does not need escalation further. Sure he's here to bail out that old guy and protect the farm's livelihood, and sure these guys are dicks for raiding the form, but he's not having someone die over something as stupid as this if at all possible. (seriously he'll take bullets himself :T )]

'Bad eggs' is putting it lightly...

[He straightened his glasses and tried to shove his disordered hair out of his face as he tried to take a survey of the area.]

There's some fruit bearing trees out here, and a few crops that we recently planted that could be in danger of being trampled.

--Oh, and a bantha. Think of the biggest steer that you've seen, then multiply it by a hundred. It won't be as big as a bantha, but it will be close...

And you'll understand what a resource he could be. We don't want him hurt.

This? [A pat, mostly because he was playing dumb.] Yeah, I think. I got into a brawl a few weeks back, and this was my prize. It's going to be a pain for a while...but I think I can handle okay for now.

[It was a lie. There was more wrong with him than just the injury, but the rest was a problem that was invisible to the untrained eye. There was a calculated element to his movements and gait, and missteps or stumbles where no problems were seen otherwise. He had needed to retrain himself to do just basic things over the last several weeks and, while he had made progress, the compensatory habits left him fatigued. In turn, this left him more likely to experience the problems that had caused these behaviors in the first place.]

[Luke had been at the farm the whole time, and despite having his Force potential cut, he was still more than capable of dealing with a few rabble-rousers. Rather than attempting to severely injure anyone, Luke's taken to using a cortosis staff that he'd taken as a mission reward some months before. He didn't want to kill anyone, and so refrained from using his lightsaber or blaster but he was not about to let the suddenly violent refugees kill his bantha, or wreck all the hard work that'd been done on the farm.

When others arrive, Luke is standing stoically near the edge of the farm, the end of the staff waiting in the dirt]

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to ask you refugees to leave. We're attempting to use the farm as a means to grow food, but it will not be ready for another few weeks. Trampling through the fields will disrupt the growing cycle and exasperate our food shortage.

[It's good enough to fool Adell, though. Having not known him at all, and his tone is convincing.]

Good, glad to hear it. How many more of them are there out here?

[Sabriel had gone out hunting that day, much as she had taken to doing when the flood of refugees had entered their enclosure. It was unsettling, seeing so many broken and angry people, and the tension and undercurrent of hostility had been hard to ignore. What with food becoming scarce, it was even more reason for her to be out and about to find something for House 3 to survive off of.

Following one of the rivers she nears the farmlands she had helped Luke cultivate earlier that week...and that's when she hears the commotion. When she arrives at the outskirts the sight of the raid brings her to a startling halt. Where these strange people really so hungry they would try and ruin everything they worked for?

It's only when she sees the small group sneaking off along the side of the Bantha's pen that her temper breaks, Luke's voice echoing in her head as she spots the weapons among the group. Banthas connect to people easily...the poor thing was just a sitting duck.

Breaking out into a run she grabs for the shovel sticking out of the fertilizer pile, wielding it like a broadsword as she cries out.]

GET AWAY FROM HIM!

[Luke wanders up at this point, fresh from smacking a couple of mooks trying to sneak around the back. Even weakened in the Force as he was, he'd sensed Adell's presence a ways off]

A dozen more by my count. At least. I just dealt with a bunch around back.

Dammit ...!

[Yuri wastes no time snapping his journal shut and heading to the farmland, not bothering to inform his guild members, as he's sure they'd come on their own if they were able to anyway.

It won't take him too long to get there, but as he's not super-human in any way, he's definitely not the first - or even the second - on the scene. He barely even pauses when he reaches the area before making his way over to try to break things up where it's necessary.]

[Luke joins Daisy, standing a few feet beside her with his cortosis fiber staff. The mob wasn't going to get past them, period. He nods to his fellow soldier. They'd fought alongside one another and had been training together for months, and he was glad to see she was here.]

[Lupin tensed at Luke's words, startled by the Jedi's sudden appearance. He hadn't heard anyone coming--it was a clear enough sign that he couldn't ignore. He hadn't been able to recover his stamina after all of the chaos from the last month, and it was showing.

He knew it. This wasn't the time.]

Another dozen? Damn how many got out here?

[Luke's glad to see Rin is taking the non-lethal approach. When a few KC mooks attempt to rush past the flaming shonen youth, Luke's there to bar the way with his staff. Sure, he's not able to fully tap into the Force, but with his potential he's more than capable of managing a telekinetic burst that knocks them back a few steps. No lightsabers]

Back off. Head back into town. There's food enough for everyone, but if you disturb the plants here, thats one less source of food.

[She'll find Lupin leaned up against the fence containing Hamal the bantha, gun in hand and eyes sharply focused on any potential enemies.

Pardon him if he doesn't look up. The stress of everything was catching him. Focusing on the task at hand was all that he could do.]

Too many. They got organized fast. I didn't expect dissent to be this bad so quickly.

[Adell turns to Luke and nods.]

Where are they? If they don't stand down, I'll beat them down.
