Who: Aya & Aya
What: Domestic things.
When: A bit after the love event.
Where: Starting from their kitchen.
Summary: Reconnection time?
Rating: G
Cooking wasn't the same here. Aya had tried to make Hinachirashi just because the third of March was close by. He wasn't exactly sure what the date was, but considering from the temperature and length of day, it seemed about the right time. Their mother had always remembered the Girl's day, and even if he had thought it then as needless fuss, now it seemed appropriate, and nostalgic. But he couldn't have found all the ingredients, and truthfully, he wasn't sure if he remembered all of them anyhow, or knew how to prepare them. But in the end, he had cooked something that probably would be edible and he hoped it would be enough for her.
Plates set on the table, kitchen cleaned from all the earlier clutter when he had been repotting some of the seedlings, Aya knocked on his sister's door and waited for her to answer.

"Ran-niisan!" Aya-chan opens the door and steps aside. "Would you like to come in?"
no subject
"No," he says simply, reaching for her hand to nudge her towards the kitchen. "I made dinner. Lets eat."
no subject
"Ran, you really need to get a girlfriend you can make dinner for instead of your little sister," she teases.
no subject
"...girlfriend, right." He coughs as they step into the kitchen. "I'll pass for now. Then I'd just have to feed you both."
no subject
Her eyes widen as she looks at the food. "Ran-niisan, it looks and smells wonderful." She moves to give him a quick hug.
no subject
"I hope it tastes good too," he says a bit dryly as he finally releases her and steps to the stove to pick up a tea kettle. It took a while but he finally managed to find some green tea in this god forsaken place.
no subject
"I'm sure it will. Everything you do, you do well."
no subject
He pours for her first, nodding towards a chair for her to take a seat. "Want to hear something I didn't do so well?"
no subject
"Itadakimasu."
She appears to be seriously considering the question. "Yes, Ran-niisan, if only because you are always too hard on yourself, and I would like to show you that."
no subject
"Well, you mentioned a girlfriend..." he begins as he sits down and mirrors her 'Itadakimasu'. He knows she'll be curious, now he's just drawing it out on purpose.

"Yeah, I guess I am," he says a bit awkwardly, maybe even a bit shyly. "But.. um... He isn't really a girlfriend material. And definitely doesn't know how to cook."
no subject
"Okay. So you'll eat out a lot. Is he nice? Will I get to meet him?"
no subject
no subject
"I already like him, Ran. He seems sweet."
no subject
He rubs his neck for one silent moment, feeling suddenly very awkward, which doesn't please him. And so, he tries to shake it off by doing something that feels familiar between the two of them.
"I bet you don't know what the food is supposed to be," he says with a bit of smirk, something Ran was quite accustomed with, but Aya feels like reliving a memory.
no subject
Aya-chan opens her eyes wide in mock surprise. "It's supposed to be food?" She grins broadly and winks to show she is just joking.
no subject
"Very clever, Aya," he murmurs in a chuckle, giving her a mock frown for her antics. "But I'm glad you're so trusting~"
no subject
"And brave too!" She stabs at her food, taking a bite.
Her tone and eyes soften. "It is very good, Ran." She brushes a braid over her shoulder. "You should invite Caesar over to join us next time."
no subject
When she mentions Caesar, he looks up with arched brows. "I will. I'm sure he'd like that."

"At least you haven't yet talked with your mouth full," he says dryly, but not without any humor. There's a tiny hint of it. If you squint.
no subject
She puts on a mock offended glare that is a childish imitation of his own. "Ran! Slander! I would never do that." The offended glare is further spoiled by a giggle.
no subject
He's secretly tempted to stick out his tongue at her, something he hasn't done since being a little kid.

He wrinkles his nose, the rise dropping down, and he frowns.
