What: Movie night on the beach

Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

No need to be embarrassed. Its just a kiss.

But, I haven't done that before, so... [In fact, her only experiences with dating and this sort of thing at all have been with Luke.]

[Well thats news to him. Luke had expected she'd at least been kissed before. In the back of his head he could almost hear Mara chiding him, 'Wow, what a dork you are, farmboy.' and for a moment he was glad nobody from his timeline was present]

Oh...well. I...hope it was memorable.

[She opens her mouth to say 'I definitely won't forget it'... but in Luceti, she very well might.]

It's definitely memorable to me. [This is true. Without the Malnosso tampering, or returning to her world, she certainly wouldn't forget a second of this night.]

[Luke just smiles. He's glad that she can remember it. With everything that'd happened, it was good to be able to make someone smile. He knows what she's thinking, and he agrees.]

Thats good. I'm glad. You're someone special to me, you know.

[It might not last forever. Feelings can change, even if they're certainly true right now. Luceti could send one of them away.

But she decided to face all that when she first said yes to him, and she doesn't back away now.]

It's the same for me. That's why, I want to just think about being with you right now.

I feel the same way.

[He holds her tightly, though a cup of the juice he'd poured does float over and hovers in her peripheral vision, ready for her when she wants it. A small gesture of affection.]

[She can't help smiling at it, but she also can't quite get used to those little gestures - more because of the magic involved than the kindness.]

You know, back home, people can't do that sort of thing so easily. Only a few people could do it at all. [The shitennou... she'd seen them do small little feats like that alongside their more notable powers. The senshi never had, really.]

Most people back home can't in mine, either. In all honesty, I shouldn't use the Force so frivolously, but I want to impress you.

[Luke smiles weakly]

Its just in my nature.

Doing something just to impress a girl... [There's the faintest half-second's pause that means anything could be coming next.]

It's kind of flattering, somehow.

I...its because you're special. I don't do these things for just anyone.

No. You're not that kind of person. [She says it like it's something good - or maybe a relief.]

Not at all. I'm glad you understand that.

[He chuckles]

If you did it for just anyone, it wouldn't be special to any of them. [And she thinks Luke wants it to be special.]

Right, and I want it to be special for you. Especially now, since I've stolen your first kiss.

[There's something a bit mischievous about the smile this earns Luke, as Ami objects.]

You didn't steal my first kiss. [Oh, no! Did someone else?]

[She looks very close to losing the struggle not to smile, or even laugh.]

You never stole my first. Because, I gave it to you by my own choice.

[Well then...two can play that game]

Did you? It seemed like I just sort of took it.

[And with that, he leans in and does it again! Have another kiss Ami, this one's even on the lips.]

[How shocking! Luckily, no one seems to be paying attention; but Ami lets common sense prevail now, and shifts a little bit away - none too quickly.]

You should pay attention to the movie instead of thieving.

Thievery is sometimes more fun. I'm a bit of a scoundrel sometimes, you know.

[But he does turn back, watching Clark fly around]

But if you're a thief, I'll have to put you away so you can't cause any more trouble to everyone.

[He laughs]

I can't let you take everything from me. [But the serious expression she tries to adopt doesn't quite work well.
