Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance

What: Movie night on the beach
When: September 9th, in the evening
Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

"I'm relieved to hear it."

[He looks at Luminair as well, watching the little dragon frolic with a slight smile.

And then there was a silence. Of the most awkward variety.]

[folklorist]

[ Helios winces lightly at the overbearing silence, the crashing waves in the distances the only sounds to at least cut through some of it. He swallows thickly before managing to look back at the other man. His posture hunched, tired a little, and slightly...afraid somewhat. ]

I-I'm, ah, s-sorry. F-For what...happened to A-Adele. [ He is just...wringing his hands against his pant legs now. His normally cool skin turning clammy. ] I-I don't expect you t-to be very h-happy with me. S-So I apologize f-for everything.

[ Because he can tell, it's rather apparent, that Obi-wan is more or less displeased. ]

[averybadfeeling]

[... Oh, dear. This had not been at all what he was aiming for.]

"Helios, it was not your fault. It s my understanding that you had no control over what transpired..."

[And there was some small part of him that stung with shame. Yes, he had to admit. He wasn't very happy with Helios, and Helios had done nothing to deserve that.]

"... If I gave the impression that I held you responsible, then I do apologize. Sincerely."

[folklorist]

[ Just a hunch of his shoulders as he nods his head. A shaky intake of breath as he calms himself. ] S-Sorry I j-just...I still wanted to-to apologize. I-I'm sorry for-for thinking that...

[ Though can you really blame him? ]

[averybadfeeling]

[It was as though Helios were terrified, afraid he would be attacked. Obi-Wan sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose.]

"... I'm sorry. I fear that I've made you uncomfortable by approaching you."

[folklorist]

[ He's been hit for things worth a lot less. Nero wasn't really particular on the reasons back then. But Obi-wan wasn't someone to know that. Helios hunches a little and shakes his head. ] N-No, no. It-it's fine. S-sorry. I-I'm just...

[ A bit jittery. But he doesn't even need to say that. ]

[averybadfeeling]

[Obi-Wan, of course, has no reason nor intention of hitting anybody. Instead, he slowly reaches out to rest a hand on Helios's shoulder, stoooping slightly to meet his eyes.]

"... Are you certain everything is alright?"

[And then, almost as an afterthouht.]

"Have you... spoken to anybody about your experience? Counselling in the wake of trauma is of utmost importance."

[folklorist]

[ He tries to curb his flinching and keep it to a minimum. Though one of his main trigger and tension points is his shoulder. But, again, Obi-wan wouldn't know that. He still winces, cringes a little too, as he nods a little. ] I-I'm fine. I'll be alright. I-I spoke to, ah, L-Luke about it.

[ And Rei, sort of. He didn't go into explicit detail about things... ] Th-thank you for your concern.

[averybadfeeling]

"As long as you are certain."

[He withdraws his hand as soon as he realizes it causes Helios discomfort. It reminded him of how Adele had been, so many months ago.]

"Well, then I apologize if I have disturbed you. Enjoy the film."

[folklorist]

As-as certain as I c-can be. It, um, h-helped a good deal.

[ At least after the fact and even now. His posture shifts a little more as he takes on a more relaxed, less tense, stance. ]

You d-didn't disturb me. And I-I hope you enjoy it as well.
