Prescribed Recreation part 3: Chillax'n with a Vengeance
Who: House 44, House 46, House 3, Saori, Steve Rogers, and whoever wanders in
What: Movie night on the beach
When: September 9th, in the evening
Where: The Beach
Summary: After an unfortunate tussle with a Chaos God, work on a farm, a swarm of refugees and stress piled upon stress, sometimes all anyone wants is to sit back and watch classic movies.
Rating: PG for possible adult language
Something that everyone could agree on was this: the past three weeks had been several shades of stressful. What they needed, what they all needed was something mindless and relaxing shared in the company of those they care for in a neutral environment. The beach works well enough, and it's not that far a trip for anyone involved.

Stepping away from the group and towards his chosen perch she stops at a respectful (and safe) distance, cupping her hands around her mouth as she speaks.]
We are not disturbing you, are we?
no subject
He tilts his head to one side, just a bit.]
Disturbing me? [Oops. Is that what she's worried about?] No, no, of course not. I have no claim to the beach.
no subject
That said, she is more than a little surprised again when he speaks. That was not the sort of voice she imagined a dragon to have...then again the only dragon noises she's ever heard until now have been the high, squeaky chirrups from Luminair.]
Ah, good. [She nods and relaxes a little, offering the dragon a polite smile.]
We're going to be watching a motion picture later in the evening, if you are interested I think you'll be able to see and hear it from your current perch just fine.

Is that what the screen is for? [He really can see it easily from here, what they're up to.] Is it a TV? I'd been told they were smaller.
no subject
Not quite; the screen will hold the image of the film once it is projected through a machine brought by one of my friends. From what I understand, the machine will also play any music or dialogue as well.
no subject
So it's... like a TV? [He sounds uncertain. How many things like that are there?] A machine can do all that. How strange.
[Draco squints at the set-up further along the beach again.]
It wouldn't be those boxy things, would it?
no subject
I believe those are speakers, made to amplify the sounds. The blue and white metal creature is what will be projecting the film.
no subject
It's a creature that does that?

[Though they don't project things. Well, maybe arrows or insecurity, but not pictures.]

However...in my home world it's possible for a Charter construct to take on something of a personality over time.

[The reference flies over his head, but he's curious.]

[And before she gets carried away Sabriel pauses in her explanation to give the Dragon a proper little bow.]
My name is Sabriel by the way, forgive me for not introducing myself earlier.
no subject
I begin to wonder if I'm the only one here without magical powers... [So long as he didn't count fire and his sparkly dragon soul as magical, anyway. The introduction receives a slight bow of his own head, which is as much as a dragon so big might bow in return.] Well met, Sabriel. I go by Draco these days, so you may call me by that name.
no subject
[Now that seems like a fearsome thought, a dragon of his size casting spells.]
It's a pleasure to meet you, Draco.
