Summary: Like last year, Oswald is celebrating his anniversary abundantly with his self-proclaimed Oswald Day. There will be festivities all around.
Rating: That really depends on the characters threading, but Oswald's trying to spread cheer.

[It's the 5th of September, and so the long-awaited day has come. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's anniversary! Plans have been in the works for months now, and he's finished his preparations in the nick of time. Early in the morning, he leaves a message on the journal systems similar to last year's, complete with S.O.S. Brigade promotion. Then he heads out to show both New Feathers and veteran Luceti residents alike that this place can be fun if you let it.

The schedule is roughly the same as last year's. A loud parade through the streets in the morning, a cartoon marathon in the late afternoon and in the evening, there will be fireworks! It's there for anyone and everyone to enjoy, so go ahead and mingle. Either seek Oswald out or enjoy the festivities with a friend. Oswald will do his best to spread the celebrations throughout the entire village.

It's a parade, of course! [He reaches into his bag of random musical instruments and pulls out a flute. Anyone can play the flute, right? Well, it's the sound that matters and not the melody, at this point. He holds it out for her.]

I've never heard of an Oswald day before. Is it a local holiday?

Sure is! I started it last year. [And he is darn proud of it.]

Would you happen to be the Oswald it's named after, then?

[He grabs his ears and actually pulls them off his head, tipping them like a hat as he takes a small bow. Then he puts them back as if nothing happened. He used to remove his entire head, or just the top half of it, but he's found that freaks people out even more than if it's just the ears.]

[ ... WAIT WHAT. staring, half-traumatized, eyes widening with a kind of WHAT AM I LOOKING AT look, because WHAT. ]

[See, now aren't you glad he didn't lop his entire head off? He notices the discomfort and chuckles.]

Heheh, sorry about that. Detachable limbs. That's kinda my thing.

[ her voice is a little weak with disbelief. GOTTA MAKE SURE. ]

Are you certain you're okay?

Positive. I don't feel a thing, see? [He reaches down to grab one of his legs and yanks it right off, like it's the easiest thing in the world to do.]

M... maybe it would be best if you could refrain from doing that too often! You wouldn't want to misplace that, right?

Oh, yeah. [He puts the leg back where it belongs.] Big Bad Pete stole my feet, once. He thought it'd make him more lucky and give him more success with- [Ortensia.] With the ladies.

[ breathing a sigh of relief and trying not to think of her lopunny suffering something terrible like that in her absence 8( ]

Isn't it kinda common knowledge? Rabbit's feet are always considered lucky, where I'm from.

I've never heard of it before. But I'm not exactly sure what a 'rabbit' is in the first place, either.

It's a me! But I'm special, because I'm a cartoon rabbit. Most normal rabbits don't talk or wear clothes, or go on amazing adventures.

How strange! You resemble lopunny, where I come from. I'm still looking for her, but... it's certainly true that she doesn't talk or wear clothes, though she has accompanied me on my adventures.
