[Bonzu immediately spins around, waving his hands - with fingerless gloves - in the air defensively.]

Sorry, sorry! I didn't know- I wasn't doing anything!

[ Darn straight! Ikki scurries over to the tank, placing herself solidly in front of it, and eyes Bonzu suspiciously.

...Well, he's inside their house, so either he lives here, or he's a spy and/or agent of evil. ]

...Really? So you didn't turn Petunia into a starfish? [ ...why is he wearing so much clothing. ] ...How'd you get into our house? Do you live here? Hey, do you have a card thing? Does Katara know you're here? Are you sure you're not an evil witch or somethin'?

[That's a lot of questions... but Bonzu tries his best to keep up.]

N-not that I remember! I live here, I think! I do have a card, and I met Katara! I'm just a firebender, not a witch or anything!

Oh, well, if you're sure! [ Watch the one-eighty in mood. If he lives here and knows Katara, that probably means he's okay! And the word "firebender" is familiar to Ikki, although only vaguely. ]

I'm Ikki! Katara's in charge of me, 'cause we're family. So I guess we must be friends, if you live with us! Sooooooo that means Petunia was probably your friend, too. [ And. She looks a little sad here. ] He's been turned into a starfish, an' I'm supposed to help him turn back, but I don't remember who did it...Oh! But I definitely know I haveta help him! An' also I'm allergic to meat an' my grandpa died but gave me these [ HERE HAVE A WRIST SHOVED IN YOUR FACE ] and that's 'bout it. So what'd your card say? Hey, what's your name? Sorry, I don't remember, 'cause of course I can't remember much of anything which is funny but y'know I bet whoever did this to poor Petunia did something 'bout my memories and yours to stop us helping him!

[She's a lot more adorable when she's happy. His eyes linger on the beads for a moment after they're shoved in his fast, but he's not sure why.]

Oh... so you're Ikki. It's nice to meet you. It's okay you don't remember me, because I don't remember you or Petunia either. As for my name, it's... [He sheepishly grabs his nametag and tries to read from it.] 'Bonzu... Pippin-paddle... Opposo- Oppsokopolis. ...The Third. Or maybe it says "Iii".' I'm... not really sure.

...Thaaaaaaaaat's way too long! [ tact has no place here. ] I'll just call you Bonzu!

An' it's nice to meet you, too, though I think we probably knew one another if we're living in the same place. I mean, it'd be weird to live with people you didn't know at all!

Hey, y'know, why're you wearing so many clothes? Aren't you hot? Do firebenders get cold? That's so weird!

Yeah, that's fine! It's kind of a silly name, isn't it?

I guess we did know each other. But I wonder how. Uh... I'm just wearing these clothes because... fashion! It's how I... like to dress?

You like to dress funny! But I guess that's okay! [ Ikki rolls a zero on sense motive ] Anyway, I've decided!

[ She pauses after this grand pronouncement, apparently expecting Bonzu to know what, exactly, Ikki has just decided. ]

You... you decided.

[ DRAMATIC POINTING in your face ]

YOU'RE going to help me restore Prince Petunia to his rightful shape! After all, he's your friend, too! And we all live here together! Sooo we have to save him, okay??

[He blinks at the tiny finger in his face.]

Uh... okay, sure! [He looked over at Petunia in the tank. Sure, he couldn't be family, but could he have been some dear friend?] But... how do I do that?

Well! See, my card says Prince Petunia was once a really gallant prince! But then he got cursed. And it's up to me to figure out who did it and break the curse! So...we haveta look for suspicious people, I guess? And figure out who would want to harm him!

[ this sounds pretty logical to Ikki. And now that her team is growing, surely Petunia can be restored to normal!

Although admittedly the card didn't say he was a human prince, but she's glossing over that right now. ]

A... prince? Okay, Ikki. I'm gonna do what I can to help. Do you have any idea where to start?

[Helping people out. It feels like something he should be doing.]

Yeah! [ After a second of looking through her pockets - she comes up with a handful of marbles, half a chocolate bar, and a hair tie - Ikki finds her card, and hands it over, cheerfully. ] Number three, see?

I think what we haveta do is figure out who lives in our house, an' then we should, like...look around for suspicious people? I bet it'll be someone nearby!

[He takes a look at the card. Wow, she handed it over so readily. He takes in all of the other bits, too - although she mentioned the deceased grandfather already, it felt sad to be reminded of it. He hoped inwardly that she still had family, unlike him.]

But probably not someone living in this house. We're all friends if we live together, right?

Right! [ Ikki's willing enough to agree to that idea. She's not certain why she would live with anyone who wasn't her friend, really. Living with all her friends sounds like the best way to live, so she's fairly certain anyone in this house has to be. ]

I just wasn't sure who you were, at first! 'Cause you were, well, standing really close to Petunia, so I thought maybe... [ She looks a little sheepish, but, well, this was important stuff! ]

So, it's not you or me or Katara or - ...well, there're more rooms than that, but I'm not sure who else lives here, actually! But the people who're here are definitely innocent! So we're looking for someone else!

It's okay that you were suspicious of me. I do look pretty weird, and you're little, after all. [And he thinks it's be worse if she could see his skin condition.] I didn't mean to scare you, Ikki.

But... right! We'll have to investigate outside. Maybe the one behind this didn't get too far...

It was just 'cause you were so close to Petunia, I thought maybe you were cursin' him. [ Speaking of Petunia. Ikki checks in on the starfish, and goes about feeding him, something her card had instructed her to do.

He might be stuck as a starfish, but her princely friend definitely won't go hungry! ]

Right!! So we just have to go check around, right, Bonzu?

That sounds like a good plan. We should head out whenever you're ready. [Pause] Why don't we take Petunia with us? That way he can identify whoever cursed him!

[Surely this is brilliance.]

[ OF COURSE IT IS, and Ikki looks suitably impressed! ]

You're right! I'm sure if we find that person, he'll be able to tell us, somehow! [ Okay give her a few minutes, she legitimately has no clue where anything is in this house - oh hey closet. Oh, cool, beach toys? They're pink, Ikki approves! So she's just going to abscond with this pink plastic bucket and go back over to the tank. ]

[He just watches, figuring she's more accustomed to dealing with the starfish. But he looks into the tank as she brings the bucket over.]

Come on, Petunia. Let's find your justice, together.

[ Ikki's honestly touched by that line. Petunia deserves justice, after all, and it's nice to know that there are people who will help him find it!

She actually doesn't think too hard about how to get him out of the tank, just like she wasn't overthinking feeding him - it seems familiar enough, even if she doesn't remember ever doing it before, and soon enough Petunia is in his bucket, probably wondering what the hell was going on. Or not, because there was still a lot of water and stuff to cling to, and he'd just been fed. Life was good in starfish land. ]

Right! We'll definitely, definitely turn you back!

[He watched carefully as Petunia was brought into the bucket and then led Ikki inside.]

I wonder what Petunia's like as a person. If he still has his memories, he could tell us more about ourselves and why we all live together.

I bet he does!! ...And, well! Katara's my family - the card said! - so that's probably why I live with her.

[ She eyes him, curiously. ] Well, you could be family! Or Prince Petunia's butler. You kinda look like a butler, 'cause of all the clothes. [ excellent deduction, right ] Oh! Or maybe Katara and I run an inn! That could be fun. We could meet lots of people!

[He shakes his head and speaks somewhat quickly.]

We're not family. [And he looks down at his clothes, wondering what's so odd about them. He's not even sure if this is what he normally wears.] The other ones... all make sense. I guess I might be a butler? But my card didn't say anything about that.
