Summary: After revealing a new section of the tunnels, the people of Luceti have the freedom to slip in and see what secrets await them.

This is an open log for anyone who would like to thread out checking the tunnels out, observe the wall of memoirs, or just generally poke around at things.

[The shadows are sort of his domain. He can't feel things within them like he would above ground, but he didn't expect to come in to an empty room either. People have been making their way down here all day.]

Need a light?

[His voice echoes slightly, taking a gamble.]

[Oh. It's him. Sheena steps into the nearest available lit spot, shaking her head.]

Probably not much more than you do. Hey.

Yo.

[He salutes lightly, and walks to the farther side of the room.]

[corrinesbell]

So what're you here for?

[All things considered it sounds like a fair question to her.]

[endgames]

Testing something.

[It may be at this time Sheena notices, when the lights flicker, that Shikamaru has with him a large hammer. Let's see... this is the door that won't open here...]

[corrinesbell]

[Well of course she's going to follow.]

Are you gonna test the wall or the hammer?

[endgames]

I think you have a good guess.

[He walks a few paces to the side of the door, measuring the distance in hand spaces. He rubs the tunnel wall, ends up getting nothing but dust. But all right this should do.]

[corrinesbell]

That wasn't a guess, it was a real question.

[Nobody walking around with a hammer intends to do anything but swing it. Sheena keeps her safe distance, ready to cover her ears.]

Maybe both.

[And without further ado, Shikamaru takes aim for the spot on the wall and lets loose. Each blow is calculated; there's no anger. But despite the heavy, echoing sound (heavier than what a hammer meeting concrete should be) and the way his hands throb, there's not a dent.]

[corrinesbell]

[She'll let that go on for a while. It occurs to her that "doing a great job" as a spoken comment won't sit well with him. So once she's been deafened enough by the sound of metal on- what is that wall made of, anyway?

She will step quietly over to one of the key slots and begin to fiddle.]

[Shikamaru takes a break before long. He doesn't look frustrated, or even disappointed, just inquisitive. He studies the wall, feeling along it for a dent or anything. He turns, mouth opened to make a comment to Sheena but- oh where'd she...?

Ah there she is.]

Well?

[corrinesbell]

[A piece of metal actually bends in her hand and she growls, kicking the wall.

That was stupid.]

It's working about as well as your hammer.

[endgames]

Noted. [He walks to drop the hammer on one of the tables elsewhere.] It's protected by something. With the tunnels, that's most likely a Shift.

[corrinesbell]

Too bad we can't just blow it up, right? [Oh, how she wishes. A good Pyre Seal would take the locks right off the wall.]

Can you use these? [Holding out a few lockpick tools.] Maybe we've both gotta do it at the same time.

[endgames]

I could. [He walks over.] Since you're still standing, I'm supposing it's safe to say it isn't booby-trapped.

[corrinesbell]

Not so far. [She...didn't think of that.] Guess we'll find out if doing it with two people gets different results.
