Summary: After revealing a new section of the tunnels, the people of Luceti have the freedom to slip in and see what secrets await them.

This is an open log for anyone who would like to thread out checking the tunnels out, observe the wall of memoirs, or just generally poke around at things.

[He shakes his head, managing to smile wryly despite how serious the conversation is.]

I would very much rather not die at all, either. After what we have survived through-- [and they had survived through a lot in their time in Luceti] --it would be terrible to die now.

[corrinesbell]

I know we'd come back and everything but it still wouldn't be...right. None of this is, anyway. [She shakes her head too, twice and very hard.] On top of everything else it'd just feel like, like failing, y'know? Like in the end despite everything we weren't enough either.

[A lot of people she considers to be more than enough have already been unfortunate enough to die.]

That's presuming that it's a death we struggle against. [He has to be realistic in his approach.] If you were killed suddenly by a wayward arrow or a bullet, do you feel that is how you would think of the situation?

[corrinesbell]

I don't know, really. Maybe. [That's the direction her thoughts tend to take anyway.] Like I should've been a better...fighter.

[chikaidestroyer]

Or a seer, perhaps. [He shakes his head, stepping away from Sheena and towards the door.] Are you ready to head back out?

[corrinesbell]

Yeah, I guess. [Nothing about this conversation has settled her. If anything she's more unsettled than how she began. But she won't be taking anyone's head off with her fist - improvement.]

[chikaidestroyer]

[He nods, glancing back at her as he stands in front of the door to open it.] I'm not the best person to be talking to about these things, but you are always free to discuss them with me, Sheena.

[corrinesbell]

Actually, a lot of the time you are the person to talk to. Most everybody else can't remember how we started.

[chikaidestroyer]

They don't need to have experienced what you did for you to discuss with them. [It's almost a verbal shrug.] There's just no guarantee they will understand.

[corrinesbell]

There's no guarantee you're gonna understand either. ...It's just not only about how long we've been here, okay?

[She thinks he wouldn't stop her if she pushed past him and stormed back into the other room. In light of that, a regular old walk will do.]

[chikaidestroyer]

[He's silent at that, watching Sheena for a long moment. Then he's out of the room and back in the tunnel, heading back to the newly-found set of rooms.

He knows it's not only about how long they've been there. But it seemed like the simplest way to attempt pushing her away.]
