DRAFT - The Battle of Vaskoth

On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

[-Explosions? Great, now he has to look out for the zombies and-

...Wait a minute. He's seen those kinds of explosions before. It makes both him and Sneasel scan around the area. Is that...?]

[Shikamaru jumps down from a tree/building/spacecraft/take your pick and salutes smartly. 'Sup guys.]

[Oooh mister Shikamaru oooh.]

Nice dramatic entrance.

It's one of those things they make you practice in ninja school.

[Along with aim. There's enough runners here that he's not going to risk going easy on the at the moment, so the first kunai he throws goes between a zombie's eyes. It slows him down for maybe two seconds.]

[The water it's being hit with can slow it down for another two seconds.

The ice it's being hit with can slow it down until it's done being an ice cube.]

Along with being a show off.

Okay. Next time I'll let them eat you.

[AND LIKE YOU'RE ONE TO TALK, MISTER RAGING PET MONSTER TAMER OVER THERE. Ice is good. Shikamaru's thinking he's going to save his weapons for now though.]

I doubt I'd even taste good.

[TOUCHE. That is fine. But a good amount of them are coming, and-

...And you know what, he's recalling Sneasel for a minute.]

Swords Dance. [Feraligatr complies, and... And nothing seems to happen.

Not yet. But he does crouch down.] Hop on.

Like a tater tot, maybe.

[HEIGHT DIG. WHILE HE STILL CAN.

And he has no idea what the hell is going on, but half of teamwork is trusting the other guy has your back. All aboard.]

[tsuntrader]

-Hey. [Rude.

But whatever you're about to experience something cool.

This one's a combination. First, Feraligatr uses that improvised move- Aqua Jet- which he's now got down to a science. Whoosh, straight up in the air.

But that will only last for so long, which leaves them about to dive down into the incoming runners from all sides.]

[tsuntrader]

[But Feraligatr's a god damn bro.

Once he's reached the peak of his little water jetpack adventure into the air, Silver nods at him.

Feraligatr then shifts his weight, positions his tail... And falls. Even faster, thanks to Silver and Shikamaru's weight.

But he doesn't just hit the ground.

He slams his tail into the ground, with all of the force he can manage.

And a shock wave is sent out in all directions. The ground shakes. The ground cracks open. And the ground that's cracked open in every direction pulls all of those runners down into it.

It's an Earthquake.]

[endgames]

[Whoa. Nice view from up here. He uses chakra to keep on Feraligatr's back in the drop, but this is badass. There's a wicked grin on his face seeing it unfold like that, and he nudges him in the back.]

You rock, man.

[tsuntrader]

[You see this grin? The one he always has? He's grinning even more. Thanks, dude.]

[tsuntrader]

You don't know the half of it.

[C'mere, Feraligatr. Head(cheek? Feraligatr's kind of huge, it's hard to reach his head even when he's crouched over)pats for you, you gigantic blue death reptile.]

[endgames]

[Shikamaru hops off now.]

I'll handle the stragglers.

[tsuntrader]

All yours. [Unless you need help. They guess they can step in to help if they need to, but...]

[Handling the leftovers, for Shikamaru, means picking up one zombie with his shadow and quite literally hurling him through the air at the other. They don't differentiate between enemy's well, so soon they're fighting each other.

Rinse and repeat.]

LMAO. That is the best tag.

[ALL RIGHT. DONE WITH THIS BATCH. Shikamaru rejoins.]

Now only a few cultists and the like to go. [Said with false cheeriness.]

And then we go off to find another dozen or two, right? [That's how this works, isn't it?]

Oh we won't have to find them. [He jerks his thumb back the way he came.] They're swarming the place, with one or two guys like these.

[tsuntrader]

Just what I needed to hear. [He's taking the situation seriously, despite his words... But there's more of an edge to his voice. Stupid winged bastards he can deal with. Those rabid ones, on the other hand...]
