DRAFT - The Battle of Vaskoth

On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

[He could point out all of the flaws of Lance's actions in this situation. All of things that he can feel frustrating him. It's not because of his inability to properly handle a combat situation like this, at least to the standards of what he would expect Lance to be capable of.

It's because the man man with a face nearly identical to the composed man that he practically perceives as invincible, that's helped him with so much... Is vulnerable. He's in need of help. He's not the legacy he considers his own Lance to be.

But he needs to protect him.

Feraligatr needs time to recharge, so Silver recalls him. Murkrow and Sneasel follow Lance to his fallen Aerodactyl. And the sparties that meet them this time are met with an Ice Punch from Sneasel.

[Perhaps that was just the difference between their own worlds. Different environments made for different people. The idea of hurting, no killing other people, had shaken Lance. A fact that he had tried to hide, but apparently there was no fooling this Silver.

The man was at his Pokemon's side quickly to assess the damage. There was a definite mark, a wound, but Aerodactyl's tough hide had protected him well.]

It's not serious.

[Indeed nothing that some rest won't cure, but there was a certain hardness to the man's voice. And when he turned to look at yet more approaching cultists, there was a strange look in his eyes. A fire that hadn't been present before. Lance was angry. They had hurt his Pokemon. This wasn't like the battles back home. So while he knew it to be possible, it was now personal. His hesitation was now beginning to quickly evaporate. He stood and spotted his other two Pokemon hovering nearby. They had seen what had happened.]

Charizard!

[The command drew action and the Charizard flew at the approaching enemies. A stream of fire came shooting from his maw, setting the targets ablaze.]

[That's much better.

Silver ponders his next course of action for a moment before settling on the best course of action. Of course. He and Murkrow fly off towards Charizard, and Sneasel follows them from the ground.]

Tailwind! [Murkrow, Sneasel, and Charizard are all fast to begin with, but after Murkrow spins up those speed increasing gusts of wind, well...]

Can you still fight?

[This is of course directed to Aerodactyl who gives a nod and is ready to take off again. However, Lance mounts the Aerodactyl before it takes off into the air. At least from there he can better monitor how the Pokemon is doing and make sure he's not pushing himself too hard.

As Silver's Murkrow boosts the the speed of the Pokemon, Lance decides to pitch in for good measure.]

Dragonite, Safeguard!

[The large yellow dragon swoops in, giving the group extra protection against... whatever may come.]

[And with that, it's time to sweep. Sneasel and Murkrow give Lance ample room to do his thing- regardless, it shouldn't take too long to take out this group. It's not like there are many more of them.]

[Since all of his dragons are flying types, Lance goes for the aerial approach, especially since Silver's Pokemon left more than enough room for wide spread attacks.

Lance quickly issues commands, which result in a rain of rocks of varying sizes due to a combination of Rock Slide and Draco Meteor. For those trying to flee the onslaught, Charizard fires a more concentrated and powerful Hyper Beam.]
