DRAFT - The Battle of Vaskoth

On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

[Good for you, Sneasel. Mia's a little dazed just now. When she snaps back into it she'll be just as shocked, don't worry.]

[As soon as that runner is completely frozen, Sneasel all but stumbles backwards, right into Mia's leg. He's more than a little unsettled. If Mia didn't appear out of nowhere, he would have been hit for sure.

Silver shares Sneasel's sentiments on the matter, but both of them end up replacing that uneasiness with gratitude. Of course, the two of them say the same thing in unison; one in Pokélanguage and one in normal words-]

Are- Are you okay?

[Heads up, they're talking.]

What-? [Oh. ...Oh, he really is frozen. Mia lets out a slow breath, realizing that a friend of hers is almost the only thing keeping her upright.]

Oh. Yes, I...I could use a minute.

[...Silver ponders it for about half a second before ultimately nodding. Sneasel gets a moment to hug Mia's leg in gratitude; he then hops up on Silver's shoulder.

As for Silver, well... He doesn't think this is a good place to use a minute.]

Alright, but keep quiet. [So he's hoisting her up and carrying her off as swiftly as he can.]

Silver! [She has the presence of mind to keep her voice down.] I only needed a moment to steady myself!

I wasn't too peachy on the stand around until something else shows up plan.

[She's going to feel her bruises in the morning, but she shakes her head now and tries to be more insistent.]

I'm not that strong. You're just really light.

[...You know what, he's going to carry her a little more out of spite. It's relieving to have stupid problems like these among the sea of everything going downhill.]

[She will just have to give Sneasel the exasperated look, then.

And wonder at the wide-eyed one she is probably getting in return. It occurs to her that her little icy friend had been clinging onto her leg just a moment ago.]

I'm tired and a little banged up, but I don't have any open wounds. Sneasel just rested for a while, so he's fine.

[But he puts her down anyway now that they're in a less chaotic area (and closer to Ingo. Always closer to Ingo.)]
