Notes: There will be two NPC threads. One for Specialist Davis and another for Carol.

If you like creating your own NPCs, then check out this spreadsheet and be sure to contribute! This was originally set up by Griff for the Kin'cora event. It's been revised as a semi-official tracking spreadsheet for characters created on the fly.

I see. I didn't... really think of it like that. I like it when it's quiet.

There is no quiet except in sleep and death.

Do you fear death?

In... in a way, yeah. [He looks off into the sky.] And I experienced it once, kinda. I don't remember much of what it was like... but I didn't like it. Because in my last moments, it felt like I was failing and letting everyone down. And... and the best person I know brought me back. That made me feel relief. And it was only because of that, that I could finish my journey and restore balance to the world.

I guess I am afraid of death. Or things that could come with it. I'm afraid of being alone, and of being detached from everyone.

You have such strange concerns. To be expected of a human, I suppose.

Then may you find comfort in the fact that when you die, your life will inevitably go to something else. Though the Forest Spirit may have no body in your world, or this world, it is He who will take the life that you have and give it to something else. What makes you who you are will die, but that is of no relevance to anything. Your life will return to the earth, and that is what matters. For the cycle to be broken is the only tragedy that any world could ever befall.

That is why I do not bother with petty grudges against humans who have done nothing to me, in this prison I live in. Only those who bring the dead back to life shall know my fury, for they are destroying the very balance of existence.

I understand. The Avatar is part of a cycle, too. I'm going to be reborn when I... I d-die. As a new Avatar, who won't be me. I know she'll be named Korra. I'll be part of her and part of the Spirit World at the same time. I just... I just don't know what it'll be like to be like that.

[He takes a deep breath at that last part. It might be a bad idea to mention the time he temporarily died; he wouldn't want the wolf god to be mad at Katara.] I can understand that, too, in a way. Once that process is complete... it shouldn't be reversed. No matter how much you wanna see them again, their spirits can't go back to their bodies. And the cycles... the Avatar cycle, the cycle of life... yeah, that has to go on, so that the world can have balance.

That is why I will never forgive the Malnosso. The Forest Spirit had granted me eternal rest, a peace in exchange for my fulfilled duty, and they took away that honor from me in bringing me here.

How dare they defy not only the natural order, but the will of the Forest Spirit!

[Moro snarls loudly under her human voice, baring her teeth.]

You're right about that. I don't know how how responsible the Malnosso are, when they blame all of us being here on being caused by this world, but whoever or whatever did this... it's wrong. The natural cycles and the wills of spirits should never be defied by this.

I do not believe such a thing. A world would create. Even a world as small and feeble as this one can create, and it would. It would not need to borrow from other places.

Only humans take.
