On the 25th, Lucetians are ushered in to join an already growing army to repel the Cultists.

On the 26th, strange symptoms are reported. The first Runners appear and by nightfall, the hospital is lost.

On the 27th, the cultist horde is completely lost to the virus. They send no more reinforcements.

On the 28th, the situation is grim and an evacuation is called. But the battle is not over.

Please just call me Albert. [He allows himself an inward sigh of relief; she is in fact an acquaintance of his from some point. He recalled the different people he had seen during missions, eliminating them. He thought of people from previous drafts... No, not from there, either.

He pauses as he thinks of people from Luceti. She is not familiar from the journal network, but ... when he thinks of how she looked when her smile was less pronounced...]

...You were in Luceti. Back when we believed in the 'Filial.'

[liaising]

For a while, yes. [It's true -- she seems much happier here. Like a daze has been lifted from her eyes. But it's impossible to tell which had been the lie and which had been the truth, except that they both might have been honest.] But now I'm here. I go where I'm needed.

[chikaidestroyer]

[The confirmation brings a new level of interest -- and a number of questions -- to Albert's mind, and he looks at her intently. The headmistress of the school who had been taken after the "weapon store owner"...]

You were removed from the village. Taken by John. [He finds himself using the pseudonym instead of the title Bil uses.] You have been with the Organization since then?

...What makes you believe it has only been since then?

[Her tone is almost -- almost -- cheeky. ]

[He allows a short laugh, motioning with one hand to acknowledge he could have phrased his question better. Considering Tyr had been in the enclosure and what they knew about stacking death penalties, it stood to reason that the other 'Filial' had ties with the Organization.]

It's good to see you are well.

[liaising]

You, as well. Assuming you are well?

[Something lingers, of course. The untold story of her fate since she was last seen in Luceti. Either way, it seems not to weigh on her now.]

We could be meeting under better circumstances, but I am well. [He uses their time talking to place a name with the woman's face. Carol.] ...I must admit my surprise that you remembered me. [Said words were tempered with the knowledge that it was likely she only remembered him because of reports on the enclosure after she had left.]

[liaising]

...I'll be the first to allow that I wasn't at my best the last time I was in Luceti, but--

[A cryptic smile.] I've since made certain to keep my eye on all the enclosures I've visited.
