Harvest is Late Again.
Who: Nami (sort of) and anyone so inclined to help her out!
What: A harvest.
When: November 5th and 6th
Where: The mikan grove.
Summary: Nami didn't make the call for volunteers this year, despite already running late. Luckily, Law did.
Rating: Rated PG just to be safe.
[So Nami didn't have a good time on the draft. Which marks her up there with every other survivor of the damn thing, so nothing special there. Events were rather shattering for both her and her crew, and she's been up here since her return, working to harvest the orchard on her own fifteen hours a day. It's mindless and it's something to focus on, and she just didn't have the heart to make a public call out on the journals, let alone ask for help. Aang and Marco came to help her out some earlier, for which she's silenty grateful. But at this rate she'll be at least another week.
She hasn't heard Law's entry on the locked community (or anyone else's, for that matter), so when volunteers start arriving, she's surprised. And not quite sure what to do except sort of...keep going.
But. Something tight within unwinds a little. She might not be good at showing appreciation today, but it helps. It really does.]
((ooc: I've had a request for a harvest thread with Nami, so I figured putting this up is a good idea after all. Nami herself isn't very sociable, though, so just warning ahead of time! Backtaggable into forever.))

Hey there, calm down little one. You okay?

Brb, jumping up at least a good foot or so, possibly even off the hand that once held her. She is a jumpy bug, this little butterfly. At least she's awake now, though.]
EIIIYAAAAHH!

[Still he quickly puts them out and just holds his palm up carefully to try to get a closer look. HE WANTS it to be Miyabi, but he's not sure November is really going to be as lucky for him as he's hoping... and he really doesn't want to terrorize a random butterfly.]

Mister Marco?

[Gently covers a hand over her head to shield her from anything and yells out for everyone.]
OI EVERYONE! Miyabi's back!
no subject
Eh...hehe, it's nothing to celebrate. W-Was I gone for very long?
no subject
Are you sure you're okay? It's plenty reason to celebrate your return. And everyone could use some good news, eh.
no subject
Eh...hehe, thank you. I hope I can at least make a few people happier, then. What happened while I was away? An experiment?

Z-ZOMBIES?! [Dude, those actually exi--okay, so if ghosts, demons, and spirits could exists, then why not zombies? Still though...eugh.] That's....th-that's terrible! You weren't involved, were you? Are you all right?!

I...I'm sorry. [She won't ask who, not right now, after it seemed so fresh a topic. People may still be hurting.] I'll say a prayer for those people tonight.
no subject
[There, he'll just... tell you for you. And he scoops her up closer in a protective hug.]
no subject
That was certainly straight-forward.
And it's exactly after that's said that there's a thick and heavy silence. Miyabi can practically feel the air escaping her as if she's been struck hard in the chest, and her little glow dims considerably. Did she hear right? No...ahaha, no, that can't be right. No, no, no--]
Wh...what?
no subject
He'll be back.
[He wants to do more. Say more. Help more, somehow. But it was so confusing in this world where death was impermanent. It was confusing enough even when death was permanent.]

She shakes her head and squeezes her eyes shut, just kind of curling up as much as she could in the middle of Marco's palm. She can still remember when they fought together to get to Nami, and then...then that other time. It wasn't even this Zoro, he wouldn't remember it, but she does. Miyabi does. She remembers when she considered him a second father of sorts. That time where they fell asleep, side by side, at the mikan harvest. It was a shift, but it was some of Miyabi's fondest memories.
And Zoro's gone now. She grits her teeth, and finally just can't be quiet anymore. She swears, and curses, and cries. Cries and cries and cries.]
How did it happen?!
no subject
I don't know. I wasn't there. Just that were was a draft and zombies. Ace was really shook up about it. The others are too obviously.
I'm sorry Miyabi, should I have said nothing?
no subject
N-No...it's fine. Do-Don't apologize. [It's not your fault, it's no one's fault but the Malnosso's.] Thank you...for letting me know. ...I'm sorry you had to.
no subject
Are you okay though? Anything more I can do?
no subject
...Yes. Worry and tend to the others, not me. They're bound to need more support than I do.
no subject
Rest assured, I'll do my best for all of you, but that includes you too, Beautiful.
[Pats her head soothingly with a single finger.] Don't worry about being a little selfish with me. What are big brother crews for, eh? Besides, if I can help you, then you can also help them more and you know them better than I do.
no subject
You're doing enough for me already, thank you. Telling me, and comforting me. If you can do that for the others, then I think it will be enough. [That's all anyone can really do for them now. Just stay by their sides, offer support, and wait.]
