Who: Everyone here and anyone who wants to play along, even without a rock. o/
What: Rock hunting!
When: March 10th
Where: All over Luceti
Summary: Grumpy pants Smoker needs a pick me up and what better way to do it than trolling him relentlessly. Our lovely volunteers received a painted rock and a note - after that it's up to them.

It didn't take long to find all his "volunteers," but once he had, he gave them their rocks and sent Smoker a message.

Notice anything missing? I have what belongs to you. Come find them and you'll find me.

Stealing what technically belonged to the Marine was a good enough reason for the grumbly man to come out, but it helped that Souji left the thief's name and identity as prize for finding all the appropriate rocks.

He just didn't need to mention he had sent decoys out as well.

[ooc; Post with your character as a top level and Smoker will find them to talk and retrieve the rocks. Go crazy! Make him sing, dance, stand on his head, whatever you feel like as long as players involved are cool with it. ...also no one saw me post to the wrong comm. orz]

...How bad is stealing painted rocks? [Of course stealing is bad, but rocks? That's new.]

It's more annoying than anything else! What was the point of having me paint them in the first place if he was just planning to steal them all?!

Maybe it's like an easter egg hunt! [Yeah, she knows about holidays now!]

Easter egg hunt! People paint egges, or find fake colorful ones, hide them, and their children have to go find them.

I don't really know why, but it is fun for them.

Sounds weird, but I guess. Only instead of eggs... I'm hunting rocks?

[In which Smoker examines his life and his choices.]

Exactly!

[And then she looks down at her rock.]

Oh! I guess that means I should've hidden mine.

[Facepalms.]

I think if you hide it, I'll never actually find it.

It's a rock. The only difference is that it's a non-defective stacking rock with paint on it. It would blend in very easily with other rocks and I can only talk to plants to get their help through you.

I could always hide it inside. That would be easier.

I suppose so yes. Are you going to hide it now, or is it already hidden?

I'll hide it now! So close your eyes!

[Sighs and closes his eyes, though that's not going to stop him from complaining.]

I'm not actually canine you know. [But he does have ridiculously keen hearing, so he listens closely for details.]

Kids can find the eggs without any problems! [Because they're in plain sight usually. But that's not important.

He'll be hearing quite a few thuds while she finds a good place, but eventually she'll give up, and use her magic to hold the rock up, underneath the table. And come walking over when she's done.

Thankfully she is very quiet with everything she does.]

Hn. That's because they're short so they're lower to the ground. [That is how it works, right? So that said, he's mostly checking drawers and cabinets first. Got closets or shelves? He'll be checking all of those too.]

That's true too. [She'll follow him around, but not too closely. She's just smiles the further away he gets.]

[Oh good, she's like a hot or cold thermometer. So he goes back to where he was before and starts looking on the floor and checking in places where someone could hide an egg, even if it is a rock.]

And they're more drawn to colors, even though my rock isn't that colorful.

[Even her face can't lie.]

Sometimes. Though a rock doesn't fit in inside.

[Which is just as well, since otherwise he'd never find it.]

If the rock is big enough. These aren't that big though. [Hm... under the table? But not on the floor. Under the chairs maybe? He starts checking any lodgings or crossed beams for the chairs where the rock could be perched on a ledge.]

Well there's no other rocks in here. [Just animals.

He's very close now, so she's going to kind of follow him to see why he's missing it. Yes, it's in one of the corners of the table, but it's not hidden by anything else.]

[Well it's up! Off the ground! He's not expecting it. But he's about to get up when the white of the stone catches his eye and he grabs it.]

Aha!

[She'll release the magic that's holding it up so the rock so it'll drop right into his hand. She'll also clap a few times.]

See, that wasn't so hard!

Yeah. It was almost.... what's the word? "Fun?"

[He's kidding, really.]
