The Great Luceti Rock Hunt

Who: Everyone here and anyone who wants to play along, even without a rock. o/
What: Rock hunting!
When: March 10th
Where: All over Luceti
Summary: Grumpy pants Smoker needs a pick me up and what better way to do it than trolling him relentlessly. Our lovely volunteers received a painted rock and a note - after that it's up to them.
Rating: G~PG

It didn't take long to find all his "volunteers," but once he had, he gave them their rocks and sent Smoker a message.

Notice anything missing? I have what belongs to you. Come find them and you'll find me.

Stealing what technically belonged to the Marine was a good enough reason for the grumbly man to come out, but it helped that Souji left the thief's name and identity as prize for finding all the appropriate rocks.

He just didn't need to mention he had sent decoys out as well.

[ooc; Post with your character as a top level and Smoker will find them to talk and retrieve the rocks. Go crazy! Make him sing, dance, stand on his head, whatever you feel like as long as players involved are cool with it. ...also no one saw me post to the wrong comm. orz]

[Kohaku had the privilege of waking up to a painted rock right by her face today. So clearly, today was going to be a weird day. And it's quite confusing to know someone is looking for a rock, since it was kind of given to her.

She won't worry too much about that though. Throughout the day she will be walking around with the rock in both hands, and hoping someone will say something. She would really like to give it back to the right person that wants it.]

Guess who died and was late to their own funeral!!

[Derek found 'his' rock on the night stand next to his bed in the medward. He reads the note, frowns, give the rock a glare, as if it was doing this to him on purpose, and then will get up and get dressed before pocketing the rock and setting off for his morning walk around the fountain.

...He's just hoping whoever comes looking for the thing isn't prone to violence.]

[Grumps around the fountain, looking for rocks and grumbling loudly to himself.]

Stupid fucking asinine jerk. First he makes me paint the god damn rocks, then he makes me hunt them down!

Derek won't say anything for the moment, just listen and watch Smoker out of the corner of his eye to see what the guy was like...and whether or not he seemed likely to get any more...irritated than he already was.]

[While Ikki doesn't like the fact that someone has broken into their place and even left him something without them noticing... Ikki can't remain annoyed for long. Not when he recognizes the rocks he has been given, well, one of them at least. Oh, he knows who those belong to and while he doesn't know who did this, he's not going to disappoint the person who left him the rocks and note.

For now, he hides them both and waits. Ikki won't give the rocks easily, Smoker better be prepared for it.]

Oh hell no! [Punches the wall.] Like I even fucking care! I am not playing his stupid game.

[Good morning Ikki. Smoker bangs shit about as he starts breakfast. >:|]

[So you don't care about them? That's fine, Ikki will just use them as paper weights or throw them to the sea in a childish war declaration against Poseidon. Ikki leaves his room and eyes Smoker with an unimpressed expression.]

[Spock was at his usual place in the Dome when he found 'his' rock... Reading the note he quirked an eyebrow.]

Fascinating...

[Spock places the rock in his messenger bag and continues his day.]

[Looks around the battledome. Then very loudly:]

Has anyone seen some god damn painted justice rocks?

[Spock stands at his terminal.]

The volume is not appreciated Mister Smoker.

[She hadn't meant to find the rock. It had been by her feet. It had said in a tiny rock voice though echoed silently of mountains.

"We be freely taken~"

And she thought that meant it was hers.

So she put in her pocket.]

[Grumble grumble grumble.]

[Smoker walks by her at first.]

[Then pauses, and comes back, and thanks to a combination of suspecting every single person in the world, bluffing, and just flat out asking this of everyone:]

Have you seen any stupid non-defective painted rocks lately?

[She supplies that information vaguely, smiling just past his left ear.]

["Someone is looking for this. Help them find it or help me hide it; it's up to you."

That note meant only one thing: this rock was getting hidden, despite her having no idea where it came from. Why? Well, because it was fun, of course! That was the only reason she needed.

Now, what would be a good place? With that question in mind she started running around the village looking for a good, but not impossible to find hiding spot. After all, it wouldn't be any fun if she put it somewhere where it would never be found, right?]

[Smoker is literally asking this of everyone, because he suspects well... everyone, and he bluffs when he's suspicious.]

Hey kid. Have you seen any painted rocks? They have justice on one side and a seagull outline on the other.

[A rock to hide or return? A gentleman would never withhold an item which didn't belong to him, so certainly, Layton is fully prepared to return this mysterious rock to its rightful owner. In his own way.

Figuring that he should make himself available to be found, he sits reading on a bench that I assume exists in the plaza for much of the day.]

Sorry to bother you, but have you seen any stupid painted rocks around here? I wouldn't bother except they were the only non-defective ones in the whole village. [Non-defective for what though?]

[So Sophie found this rock while she was out playing in the yard. It's kind of a cool rock, so she hangs onto it and even incorporates it into her games. The more she plays with it, the more she comes to like it, actually. In fact, she may not want to give it back....]

[Well, that was fun. Souji had spent most of the day hiding away in various places to ensure that Smoker wouldn't be able to find him until the rocks had been collected. But when the evening begins to draw closer, he takes his pet pig and goes to sit out in the most obvious place he can think of.

The common kitchen on Smoker's apartment floor. Whenever Smoker comes back from his hunt, he'll see Souji sitting at the counter, pig rooting through a bag of snacks while he drinks tea as calm as can be.]

Well. That's an odd message to receive first thing in the morning. Rudy, of course, isn't one to hide someone else's belongings. The right thing to do would be returning it to its rightful owner, right?
