The Great Luceti Rock Hunt
Who: Everyone here and anyone who wants to play along, even without a rock. o/
What: Rock hunting!
When: March 10th
Where: All over Luceti
Summary: Grumpy pants Smoker needs a pick me up and what better way to do it than trolling him relentlessly. Our lovely volunteers received a painted rock and a note - after that it's up to them.
Rating: G~PG
It didn't take long to find all his "volunteers," but once he had, he gave them their rocks and sent Smoker a message.
Notice anything missing? I have what belongs to you. Come find them and you'll find me.
Stealing what technically belonged to the Marine was a good enough reason for the grumbly man to come out, but it helped that Souji left the thief's name and identity as prize for finding all the appropriate rocks.
He just didn't need to mention he had sent decoys out as well.
[ooc; Post with your character as a top level and Smoker will find them to talk and retrieve the rocks. Go crazy! Make him sing, dance, stand on his head, whatever you feel like as long as players involved are cool with it. ...also no one saw me post to the wrong comm. orz]

If octillion is a real number, I don't even know how many zeroes it has. 27 I guess. [Gross. He feels dirty for even figuring that out.] And at ten seconds a number...
[Yeah no, he's rage-quitting here because how many seconds are in a year? Why is he even thinking about this? There has to be way better things he could do with his time than contemplate the hypothetical spiritual future of this man counting ridiculously high numbers!] Oh, just ask a mathematician. [Okay so he wants to ragequit, he's trying to ragequit! But once his brain gets going it doesn't stop that easily.]
3600 seconds an hour, or 360 numbers an hour, 24 hours a day -- Ugh do I look like a calculator? -- Tch... 8640 a day... times 365... [Pauses all this mental number crunching to stare at Layton.] I don't like you. [BACK TO NUMBER HELL.]
Hang on... I need to use my journal or the snow for this.
Seriously do me a favor, lead a better life so you don't go to purgatory, sound good?

Oh, I hope I've led a good life. But I might just have to try a little harder if I want to avoid... how many years of typing, now?

300 quintillion.

Goodness! Then I really am glad I woke up before I hit that C key. Thank you for putting my puzzlement to pasture, my good man. It feels as if a burden has been lifted. Now, what was it you needed again?

There's a painted rock with justice on it. I need it back.
[He feels like he's been here 300 quintillion years now....]

[He pulls the rock from his inner coat pocket and deposits it in Smoker's hand.]
Enjoy.

Thanks.

My name is Hershel Layton. The next time I have a dilemma much like those you've solved, might I call on you again for help?

But you might want to save the math ones for someone else. [Maps, he can do.]
