This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

He fell silent for a moment, then decided to test the waters a bit. "Are you aware of what hastened to Tony Stark and Lady Foster?"

Twice, actually. But this is his first time coming back to us memoryless.

"....You were involved in that hubbub?"

Her curiousity was plain on her face. "Yeah. I know about it. Tony invited me into the plan a while ago, but I--" A shallow shrug. "I saw him afterwards. It did a number on him."

Bil leaned forward, resting his hands on the table in front of him.

"What do you know about Rataneran Keep?"

"I shall endeavor to do so, my dear. Best of luck!"

"Oh, but I don't. I am the head of absolutely nothing, save for myself."

Everything, really. The barrier is quite secure.

And what 'guys' might you be speaking of?

Some people have several. [She gives him an amused look and shakes her head.] Thanks for the offer, but I think I do alright without it. I'll keep it in mind, though.

[She huffs out a breath, quiet frustration.] Apparently Tony's not the only one this place likes bouncing back and forth then. I've heard of people coming in and out, but not quite like that. [She meets Buffy's gaze a moment, steady.] I'm sorry. That's difficult. Does he know?

[ She nods. ] I've got my wings and my magic. Hopefully that's enough to make a difference on the battlefield.

You've resigned yourself to futility, then? ...Because of your accident?

All right. They aren't too far from here. [She gives her a thoughtful look, handing one of the packs over to her.] You might want to hold on to this, though.

There are many who'd look after a child in a pinch, regardless of what they might have thought of him personally.

I've included some information on what they are and what effects they have in there, since not everyone will be familiar with them. It's always good to have an idea of what you're working with.

[When he comes back, she would already have more bags put together. He probably doesn't realize it, but she would have wanted him to keep one for himself anyway. They're for emergencies, after all.]

How did it go?

If Shift Hunters were not a factor, it would be incredibly useful out here. It's not bound to spells, unlike most magic, though then you'd have to put more concentration into what you expect out of it.

Hm. [He'd like to wipe that damn smirk off your face, Jade.

And the spar continued...although to be frank, it was hard to say if this was actually a spar or more like a real battle. Alexei at least seemed like he wasn't holding back on some of his moves. This way, he can see if this Colonel was all talk or not though.

Someone will have to call it soon though. It be pretty bad if they tire themselves before the draft even starts.]

I beg to differ. [Going home...Sometimes he forgets there are still people who actually have someplace to return to.]

You had something you needed to do back home?

hastened? Really swype? HAPPENED, damnit.

Loki nodded. "While I came into it quite late, I did a great deal of work on the calculations for it." He hesitated before adding, "I manually held the portal whilst Billy retrieved Stark and Lady Foster. If Bil is to be believed, that left me rather more damaged than I understood at the time."

You have to be able to be patient. To lie in wait. Then attack with all your energy when the time comes.
