Fare thee well, spring break.

Who: SCHOOL PEOPLE and all interested parties! Students, tutors, teachers, and anyone who wants to poke their head in.
What: SCHOOL.
When: SCHOOL... from Monday, April 15th to Thursday the 18th, 9:00-2:30 every day.
Where: SCHOOL.
Summary: SCHOOL re-opens following the impromptu break caused by the TERRACE draft.
Rating: A+

[With all teachers back on site and everyone returned from the draft with time for recovery, school is back in action. As warned, long overdue homework assignments are to be turned in on the first day back. Otherwise it's business as usual, though there may be a couple of new faces floating around class. New students will take a quick assessment test to help gauge their knowledge before joining in on classes. There, they can mingle with the rest of their classmates... as long as they aren't doing it in the middle of a lecture, of course.

One thing of note: the upcoming cultural fair! Discussion about it will begin in world sharing class. Students will be encouraged to think about what they want to do, as well as to spread the word among the Lucetifolk. Details in the appropriate world sharing thread below!]

((OOC: For the sake of efficiency, let's say an announcement regarding the date of the school's re-opening went up on the journal network the week before. If you haven't put your character on the school roster yet, please head over here and do so!

If you'd like to have your character doing things outside of the threads already set up, feel free to create new ones! Have fun and make friends.))

[AT LEAST HE IS ENTHUSIASTIC ABOUT IT? Though honestly it would be a lot easier on the ears if he weren't...]

I don't think I'm familiar with that tune... what is it called?

is he going to get in trouble for not playing the music he's supposed to be practicing.]

It's the theme song of my favorite show back home called Proteam Omega!

[Not with this teacher, no. Jack is pretty much an overgrown kid himself.]

Your favorite show? [He blinks.] Ah, you mean like an opera! Well, if you like it that much, I don't see why you can't learn how to play that too.

[Opera... Proteam Omega as an opera... A play? Oh god they can put on a show about Proteam Omega here in the Battledome, maybe, and Diamond can play the theme!!!

Diamond looks super excited.]

Thank you! It's not really an opera though, it's a mecha anime.

A mecha... anime...?

[Those words mean nothing to him, Diamond-- you're going to have to elaborate. But suggest putting on a show and he would be all for that.]
heartofthematter: (02 it's such a pretty sight)

[ah yes he gets to explain this the wonders of Proteam Omega to everyone!!]

A mecha anime is a show that has robots fighting robots in it!! In Proteam Omega, it's the title character against Demon Brioche and his minions! There's a lot of cool special effects and amazing things in it, but we don't have it here so I can't show you it...

Ah, I've heard of robots before-- they're those clockwork machines that move on their own. That sounds fascinating! I wonder if we could find any here, or perhaps make some...
