[Kouki pauses and look at Fayt in surprise. Wait, hold up, did Fayt just ask...?]

Well yeah. [He runs a hand through his hair, looking a little put out by that response. How badly had he screwed this up?]

Unless you don't want to.

Well, I... [Awkward pause.] I dunno, alright, Fayt?

[He's awkward about this because Kouki doesn't know how to approach it.]

[...That answer doesn't make much sense, but it doesn't give Fayt a lot of hope here.] Is that a yes, or an 'I'm not sure'?

[After a long and dramatic pause--]

...It's a yes, idiot.

[There, he said it. Will you drop it already?]

[Fayt feels a mild trickle of relief at the response, and he grins softly instead of taking offense to the 'idiot'.] Great!

[Why are you so happy.] Yeah, yeah, Fayt. [No, it's just your imagination. Just your imagination that he didn't sound as annoyed as usual.]

So what'd we do?

[etherealblast]

[Because his brother was willingly spending time with him?]

We could go to the battledome... [A pause.] I hear there's a rec center around here. Maybe there?

[Just this once!]

The rec center's good enough.

[After the water balloons thing, Kouki doesn't feel like doing any exercises in the battledome.]

[etherealblast]

[Still...!]

Great... [He pauses, trying to remember where it is.] Uh.. you wouldn't know where it is, exactly, would you?

[de_bel_survivor]

[Siiiigh.] Yeah, I do. Follow me. [He turns and walks toward where the rec centre is. Don't get left behind!]

[etherealblast]

[Fayt will follow behind him, still grinning a bit in quiet victory.]

[Kouki leads Fayt over towards the Rec Centre, opening and entering the building with the ease of someone who came by often enough.]

[Fayt... hadn't been here before. He'd been intending to go, but so far he hadn't gotten around to it.]

[Kouki walks towards where the games are, pretty much walking down the familiar path by instinct.

There's a pretty decent selection to spend a few hours with.]

[Fayt gravitates towards the games as well, following behind Kouki. Even if these aren't the kind of video games he usually played and woefully low tech compared to what he was used to, they were still video games.]

[He glance at the games, considering which one to play first. Pinball, air hockey...

Low tech, sure, but they're still fun. Beside, there's always the typical arcade games, such as fighters.]

I'm good with whatever you want. [He was trying to both keep Kouki occupied and make the lack of time they'd spent together up, somehow.]

You up for some video games?

Of course I'm up for some games.

[He eventually makes his decision and walks over to an arcade machine. It's a fighting game.]
