New Feather Party, Summer Edition!

What: New Feather Beach Party!
When: June 18th, 1:00 until...whenever!

Summary: Funtime Ocean/Beach Shenannigans!

It's been a lot of hard work, but the New Feather Party is set up and ready to go! A make-shift canopy has been set up, underneath which are a few small tables covered with various foods, some made by Welcome Center staff(though people are encouraged to bring dishes of their own to share!) along with some small ice-filled coolers full of various drinks. There are also a few beach balls, some buckets full of water balloons and some small water pistols (All Pilouette could find were the basic kind; no pumps here!) scattered about for for a bit of fun in the hot weather.

I'm not embarrassed at all. [And then he tilts his head, lowers his voice a little.] So...you don't like it...?

[What with that tone of voice all of a sudden? Pilouette frowns, just a little. He did actually do what he said he was going to do. And she imagines it's not an unselfish gesture. But....]

W-Well, I'm just...surprised, I guess. I mean, why that? Of all the things I thought you would do...

If you didn't want a panda cake, then I thought you'd be more interested in a Pilouette cake.

...Well, I guess I can't really mad at you since you were thinking of someone else for once...

[Pilouette smiles, just a little, and reaches over to pat him on the head, as if he was some kind of pet. She still thinks it's a really weird cake, but...]

Thanks, I guess. I can appreciate the thought at least.

[While she finishes talking, Panda picks up a knife and cuts into her face, serving himself a slice. Of face.]

Mm! You should appreciate the taste and have a slice, too.

[Just gonna...casually take a bite of Pilouette's eye.]

[Even if it is a cake, it's still kind of strange watching a bear eat her face. She takes the knife and, after a moment a of thought, takes a slice out of the Panda cake, taking off one of the ears. She looks at it for a moment, before digging in.]

Hey, this is pretty good! I guess you really did a good job, after all...!

[...he drops his cake as he instinctively reaches up to touch his own ear, the same one Pilouette is eating.]

N-no...not again! Don't eat me!

H-Hey! Don't-

[Wait her mouth is full. She hurriedly chews and swallows the cake in her mouth before answering.]

Don't just waste cake like that! Besides, if you didn't want people eating it then why did you bring it?! And what do you mean again?!

I forgot...! I forgot that this is what happens! You must hate me to eat me so quickly!

[He's going to just...walk over and put his piece of cake where the panda ear used to be.

....that isn't going to work.]

W-we need to fix it!

You forgot that cakes get sliced...?

[If only to calm him down, she cuts the uneaten ear from the rest of her slice of panda cake and does her best to place in roughly the right spot. Sure, it might be a little squashed from being moved around and cut and yeah, maybe there's still a big gap in the panda cake's face, but...]

How's that? Any better?

I...I can't look at it anymore! It's too much!

[So his first instinct is to just take a big pawful of the panda cake so it doesn't look like him. Unfortunately, he can't eat himself, so he just...throws it in the first direction he can think of.

Guess where that is. Roll a dodge check, Pilouette!]

[Pilouette has failed her saving throw! Her body tenses and she barely has time to let out a surprised yelp as that glob of cake hits her square in the face. As bits of cake slowly slide off of her face and onto her clothes and the ground, she just stands there staring at him, her eyes wide.]

It's saved...!

[Phew! He wipes his forehead with the back of his arm, looking extremely pleased with himself. What used to be a Panda cake is now just a cake with a hole in the middle.]

It's safe to eat now, Pilouette-chan! ...You know, if you didn't eat your cake so quickly, you wouldn't get it all over your face like that.

You stupid...!

[Without saying another word, Pilouette just glares at him for a second before wiping the cake off of her face and smearing it on his fur.]

Ahhh...don't, don't!

[He panics. He has to do something. Thinking quickly, he does the only thing he can do. He wraps his panda arms around Pilouette, smearing the cake right back against her.]

Get it off, get it off...!

[Pilouette lets out a scream and puts her hands on his head, trying to shove him off.]

G-Get off me! Go...wash it off in the ocean or something!!

[He lets go. He's screaming, too. Washing it off in the ocean is a good idea...but he thinks she's talking about herself.

Fortunately, he's tiny, so he can't really pull Pilouette to the ocean to push her in. He does try, though.]

Wash it off, wash it off...!

What do you think you're...?! Wait a minute...!

[She does her best to try and get behind him and push him toward the ocean instead. She's not very strong, so it's probably just as effective as his pulling.]

[And this, ladies and gentleman, is how Pilouette and Panda ended up trying to push each other into the ocean and nothing happened at all.

...It's probably fun to watch, though? Luckily, he gives up trying after a while.]

It's no good...my cuteness for this evening is ruined...

You're the one who ruined it by throwing that cake in the first place!!

[Even if Pilouette did wipe it on him.]

Plus, you wasted perfectly good cake!

I was trying to get rid of it as quickly as possible...and it's alright, because I'm the one who brought the cake to begin with, right? There's still the Pilouette cake, too.

If you wanted to get rid of it, you should have just eaten some! And it's not alright! You can't just waste food like that, you know!!

You do kind of have a point, I guess. We do still have that other cake, but...

[She doesn't want to admit it, but...she's not sure she can bring herself to cut her own face. Maybe she kind of gets how Panda feels, but...it's just a cake, right?]

Hmm...are you going to take a bite out of the other cake, Pilouette? You haven't tried it yet.

[He's noticed. Or he's just a dumb panda.]

M-Maybe I'll try it later. ...But why is it okay to cut into my face and not yours?

[She knows she's going to regret asking this. She usually regrets asking him anything. But she just can't help herself.]

I don't think I'm going to ask for any more face cakes, Pilouette-chan.

[And he'll just...place a paw on her shoulder. He gets it. No more watching their faces get eaten.]
