Summary: Sokka tries to make up to his housemates by using up his remaining points to make a crowded house much more spacious

That morning, Sokka contacted the Malnosso to use up most of his points. Not only did he recover some of his possessions he had lost when he died, but he opted to make the house bigger. Already there'd been issues after Zuko showed up and with Toph's arrival, there was just too little house for them all to fit into. More upsetting was the realization there was no room for Suki if she ever came back. So despite the knowledge that he might need those points for something else later, he took the hit instead. And so, the upgrade commenced.

He'd been intrigued to watch the house seem to just rebuild itself. He'd delivered the blueprints to the Malnosso and this upgrade would fortunately shift some of the rooms around just as it was supposed to. And it was the afternoon, which meant everyone should be out of the house and would be quite surprised when they returned from their wandering about. Of course, he had some other adjustments to make that would require his bender friends to work on. The Malnosso wouldn't include a free slide with it (after all, he used that free high level reward for a hot tub instead). So he intended to get the first earthbender he found to help him with that. Then of course, they would need to carve a hole in the ground and fill it up with water for a pool. But eventually, after getting that all sorted out, it was complete. The Avatar house had become twice as fun and despite how miserable he'd been lately, Sokka felt good about things.

And so he sent out a message on the journals inviting everyone home. He included an invitation to Suki and Ty Lee to check it out too. They may not have been living at the house, but he was hoping this might change Suki's mind.

By the time everyone else arrives, the pool will be ready (thanks to whoever got roped into making it) and Sokka will have even stocked up on sodas and junk foods for them to eat. He'd have made some good food for them to eat, but... he's Sokka. Junk food will just have to do.

[ She just shrugs, nonplussed - though the sight of the pair of them soaked was pretty amusing. ]

Have you smelled him lately? He definitely needed a bath.

[markofthewise]

[Poor Momo tries to fly away, but ends up falling in the pool instead. Sokka has to fish the poor lemur out of the water.]

Well, should we invite Appa into the pool too? I bet he could use one too.

[precipitous]

[ Korra makes a face. That's all their new pool needs - a big, hairy bison taking up the whole space. ]

No thanks. He'd soak up all the water!

[markofthewise]

But he 'definitely needs a bath'. [Said in a mocking Korra voice.]

[precipitous]

Maybe you need a bath!

[ She will splash him more. Don't think she won't. ]

[markofthewise]

Don't make me ask the Malnosso for a refund. Because I will.

[precipitous]

Go for it, then. You'll be the one sharing a room with Zuko.

[markofthewise]

You can bunk with Zuko. I'd rather not have my stuff go up in flames when he inevitably burns down the house again.

[precipitous]

...Wait, again? [ Why 'again'? Geez - had Zuko burned the house down before? Nice one, Hotlord. ] What do you mean, 'again'?

[markofthewise]

Zuko has come and gone three times before. Each time he does, somehow he finds a way to start a fire. Sometimes more than once. I figure it's only a matter of time, now that he's back again.

[precipitous]

Sheesh. Is he really that temperamental? [ He seemed like he would be a better firebender than that.

And if temperamental was all it took, she was probably doomed. ]

[markofthewise]

I'd say more unlucky. Really.

[He casts an almost sympathetic look over at poor Zuko.]

[precipitous]

Yeah, he doesn't exactly have a good track record with luck, does he?

[ Poor, hapless Zuko. ]

[markofthewise]

... is that from personal experience or just historical fact?

[precipitous]

Historical fact, mostly. That, and the fact I can get away with calling him Hotlord.

[markofthewise]

... wow, of all the things to be remembered for.

[Sokka considers asking what HIS legacy is. But he decides to slide off the raft and go underwater before he goes asking dumb things like that.]

[precipitous]

It could be worse.

[ At least things seemed to get better for Zuko as he aged. But that was a weird topic for everyone, herself included, so she was okay with Sokka disappearing underwater instead of asking more.

Especially so she could dip her hands into the water and send a mini-whirlpool after him. ]

[markofthewise]

[When Sokka realizes what she's doing, he pops up on top of the water and offers her a frown.]

I'm going to have to make a sign about bending, aren't I?

[There is nothing worse than swimming with waterbenders. Show offs.]

[precipitous]

[ She sticks out her tongue at him. ]

Go ahead, but no one's going to read it.

[markofthewise]

"Nobody likes a show off, Korra."

Or at least he didn't. No bender oppression in the pool.

prose? PROSE?!

[precipitous]

"Everyone does. I mean, have you seen Aang's marble trick?"

It was one for the ages.

PROSE!!!

[markofthewise]

"Korra. Who hasn't seen Aang's marble trick?"

[precipitous]

"That doesn't mean it's not a good one!" Some things were eternal with the Avatar spirit. Marble tricks were one of them.

[markofthewise]

"Anyone with airbending could do that. I bet Ikki can do it."

[precipitous]

Korra gasped dramatically. "Sokka! I'm shocked. Are you saying your niece isn't a good bender?"
