Summary: Sokka tries to make up to his housemates by using up his remaining points to make a crowded house much more spacious

That morning, Sokka contacted the Malnosso to use up most of his points. Not only did he recover some of his possessions he had lost when he died, but he opted to make the house bigger. Already there'd been issues after Zuko showed up and with Toph's arrival, there was just too little house for them all to fit into. More upsetting was the realization there was no room for Suki if she ever came back. So despite the knowledge that he might need those points for something else later, he took the hit instead. And so, the upgrade commenced.

He'd been intrigued to watch the house seem to just rebuild itself. He'd delivered the blueprints to the Malnosso and this upgrade would fortunately shift some of the rooms around just as it was supposed to. And it was the afternoon, which meant everyone should be out of the house and would be quite surprised when they returned from their wandering about. Of course, he had some other adjustments to make that would require his bender friends to work on. The Malnosso wouldn't include a free slide with it (after all, he used that free high level reward for a hot tub instead). So he intended to get the first earthbender he found to help him with that. Then of course, they would need to carve a hole in the ground and fill it up with water for a pool. But eventually, after getting that all sorted out, it was complete. The Avatar house had become twice as fun and despite how miserable he'd been lately, Sokka felt good about things.

And so he sent out a message on the journals inviting everyone home. He included an invitation to Suki and Ty Lee to check it out too. They may not have been living at the house, but he was hoping this might change Suki's mind.

By the time everyone else arrives, the pool will be ready (thanks to whoever got roped into making it) and Sokka will have even stocked up on sodas and junk foods for them to eat. He'd have made some good food for them to eat, but... he's Sokka. Junk food will just have to do.

[Aang was watching in wonder as the house rebuilt itself - for once a shift that was wholly enjoyable. Afterwards, he did what he could to help put the pool together - and possibly the slide if Toph needed an earthbending hand.

Then? He spends nearly an hour just riding the slide into the pool over and over again, garbed in just his orange swimming shorts, the scar on his back in full display.

And he eventually realizes how fun it would be to go in reverse; he propels himself up the slide with waterbending. Does he wind up colliding with someone riding the slide? Otherwise he ends up back inside, when he hastily has to work on bending up the water that's followed him up.

Eventually, somehow, he finally gets tired of playing with the slide and then the pool in general.

...And then of course, it's time to start playing with the fire pole between his and Ikki's rooms.]

[ And here's Toph! She's standing outside by the poolside, facing the house and concentrating on just how to make a slide from the second level reach the pool. She senses Aang nearby, so she gives him a shout - ]

Hey Twinkletoes! Gimme a hand with the slide!

[Aang is quick to slide on over.]

Sure thing, Toph! [He wipes at his hands.] Just tell me what to go for.

Sokka was pretty worn out after getting everything set up, even if he didn't do the actual bending, there was still a lot of prep work to make sure the slide wasn't ridiculously uncomfortable. Just regular stone wouldn't cut it, so that had been tiring. So by the time everything was said and done, Sokka was content to just float on a raft in the pool. Eventually Momo would fly over and rest on his chest, which was convenient since the lemur did a good job hiding the scars he had accumulated in his time of Luceti.

Eventually he'll get around to trying out the slide or just sitting by the pool. The best part, for him, is just seeing his friends excited and happy about the change. Which means he'll be gladly on hand to give anyone the full house tour to show off all the little things he thought of when getting the expansion.

When Suki spots Sokka by the pool, she happily takes a seat beside him, dipping her feet into the pool. By now, she has changed into an actual swimsuit. She figured that her bindings weren't exactly enough, and the this one was much cuter than her swimsuit from home. Besides, despite the image, it was green, and she liked green a lot more.

She greeted him with a warm smile, kicking her feet a bit in the water.

"This looks great, Sokka."

Sokka had been just trying to relax and soak up the sun. He'd seen Suki had arrived some time ago, but he'd been trying to give her space. He didn't want to scare her off and figured she would be happier by herself. So needless to say, he was surprised that she joined him willingly. He did a double take when he saw her swimsuit. Sure, it wasn't anything he hadn't seen before. But it had been a while. She really pulled it off.

"Um. Thanks? You do too." Stupid. That was a stupid thing to say. He quickly continued. "But um. You don't think it's too much? We could have just got a separate house."

"I don't know, Sokka," she said, walking up to him as she eyed the house. "Are you sure it's not too much?"

Sokka shrugged, a mix of pride and concern as he surveyed the rather large house. Not even the house in Ba Sing Se had been this big. It seemed almost ridiculous that this was their home.

"I'll admit, I got carried away with the slide."

[breezing]

[ Ikki hadn't been home when the rebuilding had occurred, as it was a summer afternoon without school. She was out and about playing with friends when the message from Sokka to come home came, and Ikki had dutifully said goodbye and hurried back to the house. It didn't sound like she was in trouble or something bad was happening, so "hurried" was for a given value of hurry.

Still, she and Soren arrive back home fairly quickly, with the benefit of flight. The seven-year-old (although she's taken to referring to herself as "nearly eight" with the approaching month) and her pokemon proceeded to make a thorough exploration of their new digs, starting with the stables. And then the first floor. And then - no, they get stuck on the first floor in Ikki's room for a while as she bends up and down the fire pole, laughing as she jumps between levels, and Soren checks out his new nest.

And then eventually she makes it to the second floor and spends the rest of the day going down the slide, running back inside and upstairs, and then going down the slide again - after changing into her bathing suit, at least.

...And also eyeing the snacks and seeing how many she can get away with. Does this count as a party? Is her limit upped? Maybe just one more... ]

[Suki sat on the edge of the pool, dipping her feet inside. The water felt great, but the fact she could hang out here again made her even happier. It was great to be around everyone again, and even better to see everyone this happy.

As she watched Ikki go down the slide, she cheered. It looked like Ikki was having so much fun, and the girl had a way of making Suki smile. She was cute and was so much like Aang that Suki couldn't help but adore her.]

How is it? [Asking, seeing how she hasn't been on the slide yet.]

[breezing]

[ At the question, Ikki swims over to the edge of the pool where Suki sits, hanging off the side nearby with a cheerful grin. She's been unable to stop grinning since she got back home, though. The house is amazing now! ]

It's the MOST fun! You should try it too, Aunt Suki! I can't bend myself back up with water like grandpa and Katara, but I can do it with air if I wanted!

[Amazingly enough, Suki didn't feel so awkward visiting the house. While it was still a bit weird, Suki was able to push those feelings aside. Her last conversation with Sokka went really well and she could actually see a friendship with him.

The most important part of this though was being able to visit the house once again. She had been avoiding it like the plague, so being back just made her happy. No annoyances. No anger holding her back. She was going to finally have fun, which was something she dearly missed.

Of course she noticed the size of the house, but she couldn't help but be impressed by the hot tub.]

A hot spring? [Something she would be spending time in.

For the most part though, Suki could be found just admiring the house and enjoying the pool, and the hot tub for a bit. It felt a bit too weird to go inside too much.]

[Soon after Suki is on the premises, there is an airbender latching to her. The taller one.]

Suki!

[Boy! You better be ready for the best hug of your LIFE! Because Suki is giving it to you.]

Hey Aang.

[Asami was just coming out of her room while Suki was exploring the house, and she gives the shorter girl a smile.]

Hey. Checking the place out?

[She gave Asami a smile.]

I figured if I'm going to visit, I better know the place.

Woah. It was much bigger than she'd thought it would be.

Katara gawked at the house for a moment before moving to check on her garden. Everything seemed intact, so she entered the house. To her relief, the upstairs was still done in stone, and the bottom rooms were unchanged.

Before she has a chance to do anything like organizing, she's dragged into helping waterbend some water into the pool (please can they have a pool, please, please - well, alright). She makes sure that the pool is far enough away so that the house won't be too affected by a waterbending bomb, but to be honest, she likes the idea of so much water readily available. It's even better than indoor plumbing.

For a little while, after the pool is built, Katara runs into the house to change into a two-piece swimsuit with added wrap-around knee-length skirt and jumps into the pool.

Aang at least helped with bending the pool into being. And after his first few trips down the slide, he was spending some time swimming around in the water when he spotted Katara's approach. He looked on with a bright smile. "Come on in! The water's..." Wait. It's not very warm at all, kind of cold actually. "...watery!"

[Asami is already sitting on the edge of the pool when Katara emerges in her swimsuit. The taller girl is dressed in a simple black one-piece, and her legs are lazily kicking at the water as she leans back on her hands. She grins up at the water bender when she appears.]

So I'm guessing this is at least partly your doing?

[It was hard to imagine they'd made a pool without the resident water bender, after all.]

[ Korra is excited enough about the prospect of a pool with a slide that she helps create the both of them with her bending. More than worth a little effort to have a lot of fun, in her book.

The first thing Korra does when the new house is completed is practically throw herself down the slide. After awhile of this (and pushing other sliders out of the way to go again), Korra swims around in the pool proper, using her waterbending to splash and make waves on unsuspecting victims.

When she breaks from swimming, she sits at the edge of the pool, sipping a soda and soaking up the sun. A girl could get used to this. ]

[ Hopefully Korra isn't paying too much attention once she starts basking in the sun. Because Bolin is moving slowly under the water towards the edge of the pool with nefarious purpose in mind. Which he acts on by bursting out of the water with a big splash! ]

Korra!

[And thus began the tail of a soaked Sokka and Momo. The poor drenched lemur looked absolutely pathetic with his drooping ears. Sokka shot Korra an accusing look.]

You soaked Momo!

[ Bolin didn't actually get the memo that the house was being shifted into something bigger and better. Mostly because he's been dead asleep napping in his room when Sokka had sent out the message about it. So color him surprised when he wakes up on the second floor. At some point he'll be poking his head out one of the windows to ask what happened.

But then later on once the pool is made, Bo will be out in his super modern swimsuit kicking off his first time in the pool with the mother of all cannonballs. After that he'll be swimming around or eating some of the provided snacks. ]

[What is that. No seriously, Bolin, what the heck are you wearing?

Zuko will be sitting on the edge of the pool, just sort of staring at the other teen's attire with a raised eyebrow.]

Do you normally go swimming in your clothes?

[Aang sees Bolin dangling out of the window, and... he's kind of surprised. Aang does a double take to anyone nearby - he had assumed Bolin was among the number of them watching the house transform.]
