Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[ On one of her many hasty attempts to make it to class on time, Duck Thunderaxe runs smack into Mytho in the hallway. She staggers backwards, not able to catch herself before she fall flat on the ground. ]

Ow...

[soheartless]

[He stumbles back a bit as well, but he's able to stay on his feet.]

Oh.

[He is still quickly by her side, holding out a hand to help her up.]

[ducked]

[ She didn't get a good look at him when she was running about, but now she gets a nice, full view of his face. Oh. Oh no. Not only has she bumped into an upperclassmen, but one of the best dances in the whole school? ]

Oh my goodness - I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! [ She turns beat red. ]

[soheartless]

[And Mytho doesn't really react to that at all, even now. He just keeps on holding out his arm.]

It's okay.

[ducked]

[ And finally she takes it, even if she's still trembling because of her nerves. ]

I guess I should pay more attention to where I'm going, huh?

Maybe.

[He gives a bit of a tug to pull her up.]

You didn't want to run into me?

[ducked]

N-no, I didn't! I just was trying to get to class -

[ And then the bell rings. Duck hangs her head. ]

...Tardy again.

[soheartless]

Oh. I'm sorry. [He frowns at that. But then he glances around with an indifferent air.]

I must be tardy as well.

[ducked]

[ Oh, no, she's made him late, too! ]

I'm so sorry! That's my fault, too...

[soheartless]

That's okay.

[He nods at her pleasantly.]

I never get in trouble.

[ducked]

[ Oh, right, because he was one of the rich kids...not that that mattered to Duck, but it was the facts. ]

Right, um...

What direction are you headed?

[soheartless]

[He looks around a bit as if trying to reconfigure his moral compass. Then he points towards a classroom.]

My class...

It's that way.

[ducked]

That's the way I'm heading! Maybe...we can walk together?

[soheartless]

Okay.

Let's do that. [And he begins to walk right then and there.]

[ducked]

[ OH HE'S WALKING okay. She skips up to keep pace with him. ]

Um...I'm Duck, by the way.

Duck.

Hello, Duck. [He nods pleasantly. Not thinking to give his own.]

And...you're Mytho, right?

Yes. That's my name.

You know it already.

[He's somewhat used to it - both due to his reputation at the school and the reputation of the Sigfrieds.]

Y-yeah, well, I mean...you're really popular...that's not weird, is it?

Yeah...it's kind of a funny name, isn't it? Sometimes they call me Dunderaxe...
