Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

Note: There will be a stand alone log for the homecoming dance. There will be another log for the second stage of the event.

[He feels the door being caught in his brother's hands, the momentum almost coming to a complete stop. He sighs in frustration, opening the door back up to reveal once again the face the blonde-haired idiot.]

What do you want. I know you're not here just because you wanted to pay your dear old brother a visit.

What?! That's so hurtful Vegeta! Why can't I stop by just to see how my favorite big brother is doing!? How's Bulla these days? I bet she's stealing all the boy's hearts, huh?

[misterbrief]

More than I'd like. Now stop beating around the bush and get to it. [Especially since he can smell dinner from the kitchen.]

What?! Beating around the bush? Just wanted to know how you guys are doing is all-- [Mhmm, Vash can smell dinner from where he's standing as well.] --that smells great! What are you guys having? Roast? [He's trying really hard not to drool right now.]

I don't know what we're having yet, the cooks haven't finished but they will be serving dinner soon and I don't want to have to wait any longer than I have to for it. [He was starving and Vash was keeping him from the dinner table.]

We're fine, and that's that. If you don't have a reason for being here then you can see yourself off the premises.

Aw, well that's not very nice. We haven't seen each other in so long and you immediately think I want something other than to say hello! Telling your little brother to get lost. I'm hurt, Vegeta! Hurt!

And does it really look like I care? If you wanted to say hello you could have simply called us. Didn't anyone ever teach you how rude it is to show up at dinner time, uninvited at that?

Oh yeah, didn't think about showing up so close to dinner. I was just trying to catch you while you weren't busy with work. Sorry about that. HAHAHAHA! I guess that's bad timing on my part. Sorry! Sorry!

[Yeah, he's still not leaving.]

[He noticed.]

Don't tell me you're only here for table scraps. Don't you get paid at that job of yours to feed yourself? Or did you manage to put yourself out on the street too?

Man, you put it like that you make it sound rather harsh. I mean, striking does have me on the streets a lot, but it's not like I'm enjoying it. After all I'm only striking because it didn't really pay enough to feed a guy very well.

[misterbrief]

You're one of the idiots on strike against the mill? You realize that's fruitless? Argh, sometimes your stupidity amazes me, you'd be better off working and at least putting food in your mouth than out on the streets with nothing, you idiot.

Get in here. I shouldn't be doing this but I don't want to hear it how I never did anything for you. [He opens the door and is going to let his brother in for dinner. Though he looks incredibly annoyed.]

If Bulla wants to pop in I'll be cool with that BTW!

[Wait- what? Really?] Really? [Vash can hardly believe it, but he slides easily into the house before Vegeta can change his mind and slam the door in his face.] Gee! Thanks! I hope I'm not being too much of a bother! [Spoilers: He doesn't really care if he is. He whisles as he takes a glimpse of the house.] I swear your place gets nicer and nicer every time I stop by.

Yes, really. Now don't do anything that will make me change my mind. [He starts walking out to the dining room, not waiting for Vash to follow him or not.]

Bulma likes to keep the house looking sharp, we needn't make a bad impression on potential clients. But you wouldn't understand that, now would you.
