Luceti Valley - The First Log

Summary: Luceti has become an idyllic and peaceful 50s-esque village. The first few days are just business as usual, right?

August 1st had seemed like an ordinary day in Luceti. But late in the evening, for those night owls who had not turned in yet, they were witness to strange fluctuations in the barrier. Beautiful, really, almost like Luceti had received its own 'Northern Lights', even though it seemed to come from the far east, across the ocean. This ominous light show lasted for all of fifteen minutes before it ceased all together. Skimming the ocean waters, a horde of cultists entered Luceti, cloaked by darkness. Upon reaching the entrance to the tunnels, their leader stepped inside and was followed one by one by his fellow cultists. When the last had entered, the tunnel entrance closed. Across the mountains, the entrance to the tunnels in the village did the same.

Midnight passed without incident, but by three in the morning, the change suddenly came. Minds were altered, forms were changed, and buildings sprang from nowhere.

Much later, on August 2nd, morning settled on a changed village, the new mayor made his way to his mansion with his pair of adorable dobermans at either side of him. The sun shined bright. It was a good day to be a Lucetian.

[Briefly, Teddy lets his lips quirk up in a weak, self-depreciating smile. He isn't surprised that William was mad at him, probably for the same reason he's been angry since the whole thing with Wanda started. He doesn't blame him one bit, and he kind of hates himself for letting it get this far.

But soon. Theodore's never been very good at standing up for himself, but soon, it won't just be him that he's standing up for. It's also for the love of his life, the one who can make him soar and feel like he can be completely himself, and that gives him all the courage that he needs.

Thanks to that, plus William's kisses and words, that smile turns more genuine, happier as well, and he traces his fingers along Will's jawline with reverence.]

I'll always find you. [He kisses Will too, first on the lips, then on his forehead, and his voice lowers to a murmur as he brushes his lips against the bridge of Will's nose on his way back to his mouth.] Even if I have to drop everything and run like my tail's on fire, I'll be there.

[Will smirks very slightly at that, letting his free hand curve around Teddy's side to rest on his back, then lower a bit playfully. Ted's all about gentle affection, and it's lovely, but he can't help but want to move things up a notch, even just teasingly. It's not every day that they get to touch each other in any fashion, never mind like this.]

Well, if that ever happens, just come straight to me and I'll put it out. I know where to get one of those water-squirting daisies.

[It's silly, he knows, but they could both use something else to smile about, especially these days. And it's nice, being able to make Teddy laugh.]

[And it's been a while since Teddy's really laughed, and the mental image that comes to mind, plus the touch, makes him do so, enough to feel it in his belly, force him to rest his head on Will's shoulder for support and slide his hand down his neck and to his chest. It feels so, so good to laugh like that, especially with his boyfriend there to see it, hear it, be the cause of it.]

Are you - Jeez, Bee, you're just plain nuts!

Mmhm. That's me, the kookiest guy to walk the world.

[Will takes advantage of their closeness again to wind both arms around Teddy's waist, joining them together at the small of his back. It's wonderful to hear that sound, after all the lying and bickering and pining they've done the last few weeks. It warms his heart and makes him feel the confidence he's been struggling to boost for a while now.]

[It takes him a moment to get all of that out of his system, and the image in his head is still making him chuckle a little. But now that he's calmer, Theodore slides both hands up Will's chest to rest them against the sides of his neck, rests their foreheads together again, and this time just looks.

God, he could get lost in those eyes. In the amount of time that they've known each other, Theodore's found that those eyes held his earth and sky, his world and his galaxy. Really, how can he not lose himself in them?

Idly, he realizes that his stomach, hips and thighs are against his boyfriend's, influenced by William's hold and touch, but that just make it all the better. He lets out a sigh, shuts his eyes, and tilts his head to give their noses a gentle rub together.]

I love you.

[William feels a deep, deep warmth in his chest at those words, and he closes his eyes, inhaling slowly, taking in the scent of the other boy, just basking in his presence. It's perfect. Even in this crappy, abandoned house, even with them always ducking the girls and their family and society obligations, it's perfect, just like this.]

I love you, too.

[Three little words, and he could forget the hurt and the fear and the worrying the world outside brings. Three words, and he's okay again.]

[Hearing those three words in return makes a certain warmth bloom in his chest, and it's like everything's okay. Like the world outside doesn't exist, and it's just them, just two boys who're desperately in love with each other. There's no hiding here, no lies, no worries and no obligations, just them.

It all makes Theodore take in a deep breath, then tilt his head to kiss William again, thumbs stroking along the underside of his jawline.

And, well... Maybe he's all too aware of the fact that their hips are so close together. In the middle of the kiss, his hands slide down to rest flat against William's chest, though he makes no other move. In times like this, he'd rather let Will take the reigns and lead the way, saying how far is too far or what's okay, letting Theodore walk alongside him rather than one pulling the other into it. But, just as Will wanted to take it up a notch earlier, so too does Theodore, because they really don't have many opportunities for something like this, and this is one hell of an opportunity.]
